Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Great except plastic knobs melt
Because the knobs sit so high, the pots and pans naturally drag across them when performing basic cooking. The knob height is not as much the issue as is the material they are made of; painted plastic. When a pot or pan grazes the knobs, it pulls the silver paint right off the plastic knobs. This could easily be avoided with a different design such as different materials used on the knobs and/or lower profile knobs. End result is that once your knobs have been grazed, the paint will melt off and they will look like someone placed whiteout on top of them. I would look elsewhere if visual appearance is at the top of your list for a cook top.

Poorly Designed Product
I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. In particular, the quality of the knobs is very poor. A pan was pulled off the stove over the knobs and because of the poor quality, the fake metal peeled back on two of the knobs and scratched two other knobs. The surface scratches easily. I've had two stainless steel products in the past and have never had this problem before. Very disappointed! My microwave cooks exceptionally hot and my dishwasher leaks. That doesn't speak very highly of GE high end products. They are all brand new in a new construction home.

Poor Craftsmanship. Highly dissappointed
One month into the new GE Gas Cooktop in stainless steel finish. Within a month of it's use, the burner top black discis changing the color from black to copper. The bottom stainless steel finish is so poor quality that it gets scratched very easily with top grills in position. I have been using only GE appliances from last 25+ years and never had any issues. All other appliances in my kitchen (GE Cafe Refrigerator, Microwave, dual ovens, dishwasher) are GE only with stainless steel finish and I never had any issues with them regarding their quality and function. This one is highly disappointing.

Gas Control Valves
Like the lighted dials and the grates.
But the "2 Star" rating is for the way the gas control valves operate. First, and most important, the gas control valves only provide about 4 different output settings (high, medium high, medium and low/simmer). You would think in 2024 that GE would have control valves that provide a smooth continuous transition from high to low. But "No". Guess that's why they did not put numbers around the dials.
Second, the 270 degrees is a joke, as they only provide for a 180 degree of actual control.

Long Past Due
My wife and I built our home a little over two years ago. When designing the house we THOUGHT that we were getting this cook-top. When the house was completed we ended up with a 4-burner cook-top. The builder was going to charge us a steep upgrade to get what we thought was specified. We passed and took what was installed. My wife finally had enough and we bit the bullet and bought this wonderful five burner cook-top. The quality is outstanding, the grates are solid and heavy. the heat distribution is excellent and we have enough room for multiple utensils all at the same time. We recommend this cook-top to anyone who enjoys cooking.

Too cheap to use
As with others, knobs are a problem (scratch and melt, because they are cheap painted plastic, not metal), in 3 months, the surface print is off (btw, only use stainless wipes on this), and finally, the gauge of the stainless is so thin that it doesn't resist any scratching (like from the cast iron grates). I have had several GE stove tops, and several double ovens (in fact just installed GE double oven). This is such a sad disappointment. As with others, we have called for a service appointment, but unless GE has actual solutions, we'll be returning as unfit for purpose.

poor craftsmanship
I really like my cooktop, but GE could not have chosen any worse knobs. PLASTIC, covered with the thinist foil. Some of the foil was messed up out of the box and the rest looked like the photo by day 2. Not sure why GE would want such bad reviews, they are many, or why they would choose to not correct this awful quality once customers had melting plastic. Seriously hoping they offer a better quality know I can purchase after market.
