GE Profile JV936DSS 30 Inch Wall Mount Ducted Hood

This is a quality product that looks great. No complaints at this time. I have had it for about 3 months. It looks great above my Profile range. Works as it should. I fry my bacon in cast iron outside, all other cast iron work on range, and the hood handles it.

We cook a lot... and not your typical stir fry. We generate tons of smoke and oil with our cooking, and this unit has substantial power to pull it all out. The only negative I have, is that it's a bit hard to clean the oil scum in the filter grates at the top...

I have had this hood for over two years. I wanted something contemporary, modern & sleek looking...didn't want to bother with the chimney ones, having had one in the past. This looks like a professional-style, more expensive one.

Had a same direct vented hood and the last one lasted about 14 years with motor breakdown, Hence,replaced with the same high efficiency vent hood, also as the venting system supposedly fits the same way.

I love the style of our vent. The light is pretty amazing as it is nice and bright. I was frying something on the cooktop and turned on the fan and within seconds a majority of the smell was gone.

I've had my hood about 5 years. It moves lots of air, and does a reasonable job as a hood. It's kind of everything I expected from the reviews I read online. There is one serious drawback however. The hood needs to be cleaned fairly regularly. The oil and grease catching filters work well.

Unit came with our new home purchase and we love it. The night light is great to keep things dimly lit.

Easy to use, does a good job of controlling steam while cooking, fan is quiet.

Works great. Fan is strong but it's not excessively loud. And it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

The motor started making this loud scratching noise twenty minutes into the first use. Speed was set to medium. Service call made to GE. Was able to schedule 2 weeks out. Technician ordered parts under warranty and scheduled follow up two weeks out to install.
