Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Love the functionality but not the durability
In general I've been happy with the functionality of this microwave, but I've been deeply disappointed in the durability of both this and the GE Profile gas range that sits below it. On both the microwave and the range, the handles have delaminated. What looks like aluminum or stainless is a sheet of silver-colored paper (for lack of a better word), which has wrinkled up to the point that it looks as if it's about to come off. This has made our kitchen look less than optinal, though we're far from being ready to replace the applicances. I'll think twice when we do before purchasing GE again. I am attempting to add images and will do so if I can.

Works great, easy install
Replaced 12 year old GE convection that kept blowing cooktop bulbs. Simple install, similar controls as my older version, sans convection that I don’t think I ever used. We followed the instructions to install, and then figure out that it would have fit exactly into the old frame, so wasted about an hour removing the old wall connections….
Great having a dial to easily add seconds, or can just hit 30 second button a few times.
LOVE the pull out vent that covers the entire cook surface!
It is a bit louder than my prior model, so really a 4.5.
No problems whatsoever.

Love the Slide Out Vent
I purchased primarily for GE's quality but also for the slide out vent. Tired of previous microwaves getting soaked with condensation from using range front burners. This slide out vent is great. Absolutely zero condensation gets to the microwave controls. The slide adds about 1 inch height to the unit but it does not get in the way. The LED lights are very bright and was surprised to see they are diodes, not bulbs. I don't know what will happen when they burn out. There is no mention of this part on GE's website. An added bonus for me is that this microwave will communicate with my new GE Profile stove, which unfortunately is on backorder.

Warning: Halogen light is hazardous
I bought this to replace an over-the-range microwave that died and it fills the space perfectly and looks good. However, the “surface light” which shines over the stove is so ugly. It’s off- center and the halogen bulb glares through the glass, plus it’s *dangerously* hot! If you use that lamp it also makes the inside of the microwave oven super hot — I put a little room thermometer inside and it’s reading 100+degrees F, and mind you, this is without having used the microwave for cooking, just from having the light on. It’s really poor product design — I can’t understand why anyone is using halogen bulbs like this anymore.

Great Products
I have had GE Profile products in my home for twenty years. They are great products. Reliable, easy to work with and an amazing value ! Especially noting the products have required little to no repair. I recently replace a twenty year old GR Profile microwave with another GE Profile microwave and am thoroughly satisfied with the product. I have been so fortunate with the GE Profile line that it was just a natural decision to purchase that same line again. Thank you GE for producing such a great product and to Salemi's Appliance for being so reputable and accommodating.

Good microwave, but better service!
If I was to rate my Profile microwave, it would be three stars. It replaced our 17yr old Profile microwave. Everyone in the family said the new one feels cheaper. It's harder to press buttons, the dial feels cheap, there's slop in the door hinge. The older one felt sturdier and higher quality.
It cooks great. It operates the way you would expect the appliance to operate.
It arrived with some damage. The box was 8n perfect shape, but the cover was buckled in the corners. GE service offered to take it back. We are fine with damage, so they offered x% off. After a little haggling, the accepted x+% off. We are happy; I'm sure GE is happy to.

Stylish and functional with minor nitpicks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, the first thing you notice when using this microwave is how sharp the display and controls feel with great build quality. The push/pop forward vent hood is an amazing feature for capturing steam and smoke from the front range burners. Food cooks evenly and tends to run perfectly with instructions for 1000W microwaves. My only nitpick is when dialing time, it only goes up in 15 second increments, so I occasionally find myself watching the timer count down to stop at the odd time (i.e., 20 seconds).

One Big Flaw
You can only adjust the cook time in 15 second intervals. This is very annoying if you want to warm something for 10 or 20 seconds. If I had known this beforehand I would never have purchased this microwave.
