The reason we choose this particular model was that it seems to be the ONLY smooth cooktop of any major brand with downdraft exhaust and a bridge element. We've had our GE downdraft cooktop for a little over a week. Everything so far has been great.

the cooktop is nice but installing the downdraft vent into the existing vent was horrific. there is no standard between stove and existing vent and the installation costs more than the stove.

We are very happy with our cook top so far. It gets hot almost immediately! The shiny black color makes it a little difficult to eliminate all the smudges from it. We haven't had any problem with general cleanliness but we've only had it for a short time. We are very happy with it so far, though!

Looks good, but doesn’t actually do anything. Takes forever to get warm and forever to cool back down. Food is always overcooked or undercooked. Just a piece of very expensive junk.

This is a good cooktop from GE. It looks good, heats up quickly and fits perfectly in our kitchen. I highly recommend this to anyone.

I am writing this review six months after the appliance was installed to allow enough time to give it an honest evaluation. The pictures were also taken after six months. Lets face it, there aren't many 30" electric downdraft cooktops to compare and choose from out there so just like me, you're...

Ordered this to replace a 1980's-era Jenn-Air downdraft cooktop. We considered both conventional electric and induction cooktops when replacing our old one. This cooktop was our choice in the end and we're very pleased with it. The things that won us over: * Appearance: Very basic and understated.

We love our GE profile cooktop. Easy installation even with the downdraft motor.
