Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Lights are hard to install
We've had this product for over a year and although the range works properly, we've had problems with the installation of the 2 little halogen lights. These are not your typical screw in lights. Each light has 2 "pins" that fit into sockets. It's easy enough to get them into the socket, but then you have to turn them slightly so they sit in a narrower part of the socket. It takes some effort to do and it's hard to know if you got it tight enough or not. I feel like I'm going to break the lights or socket when installing. I've had two instances in the last year in which I've suddenly had a light drop into a big pot of food. I've felt like I had to dump the food in both instances because glass from the light has chipped off into my food! What a waste.

Noisy Low speed fan is irritating!
Fan works well on Medium and High, but the Low speed has a VERY irritating "thrumming" noise...hard to explain in words, but kind of like a UFO on a cheesy 1950's sci-fi movie or something. Listened to 2 others at neighbors who have the same range hood, and theirs does it too, but not nearly as loud as ours. Absolutely impossible to sit and have dinner with the Low fan running, will drive you crazy in a couple minutes or less. Hopefully when we call for warranty service the company and tech will be willing and able to do something about it. Otherwise it works fine.

Poor light socket design
Light socket insertion into the duct is simply difficult beyond belief. Design of socket depth is such that one cannot hold the edges of the bulb, while trying to twist and turn, the flush ended bulb. You have to try to "palm" the bulb into place, which remarkably difficult and almost impossible to do. Very poor thinking on this engineering aspect. You also cannot feel to stems seat while trying to twist the bulb into place. I do all my own home repairs, and have done so for forty years. If I have difficulty, so does everyone else.

Range hood
Really poor performance over a gas range. Had installer out to check and he says it’s working as intended, it’s just a poor performer.

Great good for a wide space but there are cons
Make sure that the space you are installing this unit in has about 1/4- 1/2" clearence on each side otherwise it will be a tight fit.
Noise level 5 out of 10
Lighting 10/10
My only concern is the quality of the grease filter.
I purchased and installed this until late Nov early Dec and I took the filters out yesterday (Apr7th) and one of the tabs that holds the filter in place broke off when I was trying to reinstall it.

Bulb socket holder break, cheap plastic
Extremely disappointed with this product. Not long after purchase the light burn out. We tried everything to get the bulb out by using video instructions and the bulb would not budge had to have a service call to rep look replace the bulb, (Really!!!) Very expensive service call. The service guy broke a little plastic pin but the light stayed in socket, the other light just burn out and again we tried to replace using video instructions and a cheap plastic part broke off and the light will not stay up in range hood.

Very poorly manufactured
Bought this because it allegedly could be installed in 10 minutes. I guess that applies to ones made correctly. None of knockouts could be removed with a flat head screwdriver. They had to be yanked out with pliers. The grease filters are too large by about 1/4" and cannot be installed correctly. Finally, the fan doesn't work correctly. We'll be on the phone with GE shortly. Wish we had never purchased it!

Sleek design
I bought this to replace a more than 30 year old grimy vent hood for the kitchen I am remodeling. (The old one worked it just was old and dirty). I bought GE because my gas stove top is GE and I trust GE completely. I absolutely love the design, the features and the looks of it. It works great and fit right in the spot with little changes. The price was just right for this good quality fumehood.
