Looks great.
Nice upgrade to our old range hood. Seems well made overall. I took one star off my rating because some of the directions, especially the part about the brackets, were a bit confusing. Can't speak to the longevity yet but looks nice. The other reason for four stars instead of five is that it came with a incandescent light bulb. After being on for just a few minutes the hood got really hot which concerned me at first until I realized it was just the light bulb. My solution was just to swap it out with an LED and it doesn't get nearly as warm.

Nice product, but poor installation instructions
Installation was difficult because my cabinets did not conform to their expectation, having no perimeter wood, just a totally flat surface.
The instructions for accessing the light socket are totally wrong for this unit, and I spent much time searching websites and YouTube to no avail. The answer turned out to be to push the flat light cover to one side.
Also, the nominal punch-out opening for the electrical wiring was not cut properly and I very nearly couldn't get the normal size cutout to remove and allow wire access. The product SHOULD come with a standard electric feed-through, or at least they should tell you you need one on the outside of the box, not in the instructions you can only see after you get the product home.

This range hood looks great and was pretty easy to install, but I would not believe the claim on the box that installation takes 10 minutes! Installation is easier if you move the oven out from under first. The keyhole screw holes are helpful in getting the hood held in place while tightening the screws. I wish the instructions had been more accurate because the wiring instructions only mention two wires from the hood and the actual appliance had three. I had to call an electrician to verify how to connect it. (There were 2 black wires, both of which I connected to the black wire from the power supply.)

Good Basic Hood Vent That Matches New Appliances
Bought to match our new stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. It is a good basic hood, nothing fancy. After installater left I discovered that the fan switch was wired wrong at the factory. When the switch is set to operate the fan on low it is actually operating on high. When you flip the switch to high, the fan is actually on low. The light switch operates as labeled. Because I don't know how to access or rewire the fan switch I will just have to live with it being mislabled.
One thing I don't like about this hood is that the light assembly is much lower than our old hood and the light housing is visible when standing in the kitchen. Our old hood had nicer lighting appearance, illuminating the stove without seeing the light assembly/light bulb.

Bright light, efficient fan
I bought this vent as a replacement for an older over-the-stove vent/hood when swapping out my kitchen appliances from white to stainless. I live in Hawaii where it's hot and humid and don't have a duct system, so it's been necessary to have this while cooking—it efficiently whisks away cooking steam, even if it doesn't actually funnel it up and out of the house.
My biggest complaint was with installation, which the box promised would be quick and easy—not so much. My husband and I struggled to install with bolts that, once in place, felt too small and kept falling out of their assigned holes. The hood is securely fashioned, but we ended up leaving some of the more stubborn bolts out of the mix.

Good Product...after two simple fixes.
To start, after I fixed my issues below I really like this product. Its a good value and performs nice after the following fixes were used. I would give 5-stars if I didn't have to discover these fixes myself. Support did come out to switch my motor but it didn't solve my problem after two weeks of use noise came back.
The Problems I have experienced with this product:
1. Loud vibrations between hood vent and cabinets
2. Loud clicking noise from fan running (fan hits its own bracket on sides)
The Fix:
1. Go to the hardware store and get a package of foam liner with adhesive on one side. Its very inexpensive. It is usually used to insulate between attic stairs and the ceiling. Place it between hood and the cabinets. This stops vibration between cabinets and hood meaning no more noise. Fixed.
2. Take a socket wrench and holding fan blade in place loosen nut. Drop the fan blade slightly lower then previously installed. Even 2-3mm can fix problem.Tighten nut keeping blade in lower position on the rod the nut holds onto. After tightening turn on fan to low. If no more clicking is present place back grease guard into place and try low setting again. This is to make sure fan is not hitting the grease guard at all. If clicking or hitting still try adjusting the fan and rinse and repeat.
Why this fixes the clicking:
The bracket holding the fan in gets slightly smaller up top and when the fan spins it has a slight give and raises itself slightly higher as it spins on the rod allowing the side of the fan to hit the bracket.

Installed it last night older cabinets so needed to adjust the opening a little-not the hoods fault. Would like to see better instructions on redirecting the air flow. The light could use improvement -a little dark under there and it’s so far forward working over the stove casts a shadow on the surface - have the slate color so it starts dark. The plastic light cover, scary to take off the first time, thought I was going to break it. Hard to get back on, doesn’t want to just snap back in place.

10-min. installation - No way!
Was replacing a very old unit, w/electric supply/entry on LEFT side. This one was set up for right-side entry. Even if electric supply was not an issue, this still is a muli-hour job. Plus, it took 2 people (and the box, for interim support), to help hold it in place while screwing the unit into the support backets.
Lighting is not great. Included bulb can likely be replaced with higher-lumen, LED, but the cover panel seems to absorb a lot of the bulb brightness. Our previous unit was over 30 years old, so time will tell if this one can approach that level of reliability.
