GE 30 Inch Electric Smoothtop Cooktop

Although I've only had my cooktop a few days, it's exactly what I've been wanting. It has so many advanced features and it's beautiful. It heats-up without delay and quickly adjust to temperature changes. Without knobs it makes the stove top so easy to clean. I simply love it.

Just installed the cook top. It is a replacement for an existing LG 5 burner cook top. Only thing I do not like is the top on all of these are not a standard size. Wee have granite countertops and this glass top is about 1/2" smaller in width than all the other 30"models, but you would not know that...

Great cooktop easy install great price and works great.

The surface finish bubbled and discolored after the very first use. Stains easily and doesn't clean up easily at all. I've owned other glass cooktops, and all were better. I find that 'medium' is around 3 or 4 on these burners, not 4 or 5. Disappointed in this purchase.

We replaced a GE Profile PP950BM1BB with the new JP5030DJBB. The good thing are. - New unit heater up faster. - Fit exactly into the counter cutout where the old one was. - Like the sync feature on the two left burners so my pancake grill heats evenly, but I can't use the feature.

Minor issues: Finger prints/smears make the control panel hard to read. Control panel is does not recognize a finger push if your fingers are wet. Moving something like a cookie sheet over the control panel turns on elements BUT if no further entry is made they never come on, just appear to be...

Nice looking, easy to clean. The only negative is: the series of tones it makes whenever the stovetop is touched.

This replaced my GE 12-yr old cooktop that I broke. The old cooktop had raised knobs along the edge that got in the way every time I cleaned the top, basically every time I used it. This new one is digital and completely flat so cleaning is no longer a hassle.

I have had my new cooktop for several weeks now. So far i am very happy with the performance. It heats up quickly and the temperature controls have been very simple to use. My only complaint is that the large burner sits back too far.

I have been using my new cooktop for a couple of months since my old glass cooktop glass broke. I like the quick boil feature (it really does boil more quickly) and I didn't burn the butter on the melt feature. What is driving me crazy is that I can't see the flat digital controls.
