Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Love my new cooktop
I waited a long time for my new cooktop. Overall I’m very happy with it. However I do have a couple of suggestions. One is what I consider a design flaw. The knobs stick up further than the grates. You have to be very careful not to slide pans over them because the finish on the knobs scratch very easily. Shorten the knobs. The second is about the instructions for install. It doesn’t mention that the gas supply is very specific to each burner and once you find that out, you will need a magnifying glass to read the necessary codes. Just put it in the instructions. But again, I’m happy with it.

Black Color Cooktop has a Polished Black Shine
FYI...the Black Cooktop has a very Polished Black Shine to it, which stands out. I wanted the Black Color of this Cooktop, but they had no examples on the showroom floor so I had to order the product. The picture shown looks like it is a Dull Black Color, however, it has a very high Polished "Shine" finish, which I was disappointed because I wanted the Dull looking color of Black to match my other Slate Color GE Appliances that I purchased. Also, the knobs are dull and look somewhat like they are a Dark Brown color. Otherwise, if you want a high polished black shine then it's all GOOD! I do love that it has FIVE gas burners.

cheaply made product
I brought this model after reading the reviews. I would like to know who are these people writing the reviews. It is very cheaply made. My range has scratches on it from the day one. The knobs are made of out plastic even though they look like steel. The result little hot water spill on it and the knobs burn.
I brought this flattop because it was GE. I would not recommend anyone buy this even if they give you for free. Apart from the high BTU there is nothing good about this product.
Next time I would never buy any GE product.

Good Cook Top
We love the cook top, the only thing that concerns us is the fact that the stainless steel material is very weak and there are scratches that have showed up unexplainable and are now having a hard time removing. I believe the stainless steel that makes up this cook top is of a lower quality cheaper steel. The mounting of the cooktop was quite a challenge due to the very limited mounting hardware provided, improvising was very necessary to complete the job. We do love the fact that the grates are dish washer safe, that's a great change. Overall the cooktop, at this time, performs very well and the price was excellent.

Mostly fine.
The burners operate well enough, I like the look and the solid feel of the grates above the burners. The biggest issues I have are that the knobs are plastic, an incomprehensible choice by the manufacturer on a devices that produces high levels of heat . What’s more, the finish on them is very fragile and unless you are very careful (or don’t use the cooktop at all) you’ll scratch them or wear through thin paint in under a year. It’s maddening that a brand like GE would use such cheap knobs on an expensive appliance.
Further, the small rubber pads are unequal to the task of protecting the stainless steel where the grates rest and unsightly scratches quickly accumulate.

Where There is Fire There is Heat
I have purchased countless GE Profile appliances over the past 25 years and have always been very satisfied with the design and functionality; however, the design of this rangetop has really left me bewildered.
The issue at hand is that the control knobs are situated too close to the actual flames and pots that may be situated on the burners. To make matters worse, the knobs are plastic. One does not require a PhD in thermodynamics to identify the problem which is that heat from the burners/pots will cause the plastic knobs to melt (See attached picture).
GE, how do you plan on resolving this long-standing condition which could easily cause a fire and/or personal injury.

Poor quality
Unfortunately this is a very poor quality cooktop. It smells of gas constantly and the plumber checked for a gas leak twice and there’s none. The one I got may be defective. It also gets scratches very easily which isn’t good for cleaning. I do not recommend this product.

Cook top
Overall the product is good and does its job. This cook top was purchased by our home builder. When we first signed up for our house to be built they were going to put Frigidaire appliances in our kitchen. When we found out they were putting GE appliances in homes after we had signed our contract we insisted they put GE in ours. And behold they made it happen and we are pleased with the performance. They only issue I have is it does not have a safety lock on the cook top. I know some of them have it but other models do not. My recommendation would be to have a safety lock for all cook tops. Just in case children get a hold of it when you not looking. It only takes a few seconds!
