Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Grates are dangerously slippery
I recently purchased GE® 30" Free-Standing Gas Range
Model #: JGBS30DEKWW. The top of the grates are so slippery that with just normal stirring and cooking methods the pots slip around on the top of grates. This is dangerous because the pots can move around so much that they can fall off the grate. I just had this happen with a hot skillet that fell off and would have landed on me but I jumped out of the way. I am an experienced cook in my 70s and have never experienced anything like this before. Do not purchase this range, especially if you have any children or teenagers cooking in your home.

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this oven because it has little to no features, just a oven. The last oven we bought samsung had it all and in less then two years smoke started to come out of the control panel and they would not fix it. So we bought this one the burner grates are not safe pots and pans slide around on them way to easy so I had to take the cast iron ones from the last one and use them on this one it works. It would be nice if some how the oven let you know when it gets to temp you set it on but less stuff to break is the reason we bought this so less to break. I also bought this brand because GE is a trusted name to me.

Very simple, nothing electronic
So far this stove has proven to be reliable and easy to use. I’m disappointed it doesn’t have a clock, or a beep when the oven is preheated. You need to use a thermometer inside the oven to determine if it’s the right temp. I also don’t care for turning the dial to the bottom when you light it. Most other gas stoves I’ve used, the “light” is the first notch on the dial and then you turn it to low, etc. Overall, it’s a simple range to use and it does its job, but if you’re looking for the other extras, pay a little more and get the next model up. I wish I would’ve done the same instead of trying to save a few bucks.

Serious safety issue and not a great range overall
I purchased this range in the spring of 2025. From the first use it would heat up and continue to heat up beyond the temperature set. When set at 350 it would climb as high as 500 and keep going until I shut it off. After three repair visits that issue was fixed. Oddly this model gives you no notice at all when it reaches the temperature you have set - no buzzer or bell or any notice. I addressed this by purchasing an oven thermometer. But, the biggest issue is a serious safety concern. The burner covers on the stove are incredibly slippery. The slightest nudge will send pots and pans of hot food sliding across the stove and off the stove. I cannot recommend this range.

One of the only basic ranges you can find lately
I had been trying to find a basic range, with no electronics. Aside from small apartment style ranges, most have features I didn't want. This was a basic, but
stylish solution. One thing I will comment on is that the surface burners are quite
powerful. There is only one small burner, which unfortunately is in the rear. There
are two medium and one large burner which cannot be adjusted to a low temperature. I suppose if you're used to a commercial stove it would be OK. I will
get used to how to cook on it. The broiler is under the oven, which is inconvenient,
but this was a pretty cheap range, so I can't expect higher end features.

Hard to Clean, No Clock or Timer
I purchased this because I didn't need a range that had digital features I would never use. Once you know how to calibrate the oven ( very easy to do yourself. Just read the User Manual. ), it works fine. But, come on, GE, how much would it have added to the cost of the range to have even an analogue clock and timer on it ? That would have been great. And, word of warning if you get the black model : it's very hard to keep it looking clean, without oil streaks. I've tried everything suggested, but it never looks all clean on the stove
top. All in all, it's a good enough oven. You get what you pay for !

Basic Range
If you are looking for a nice looking, basic gas range this is a great product. It contains basic features such as gas range top, broiler, and an oven with a light. The back splash panel doesn’t have any extra digital features, there is no timer, or preheat alarm. However, I have an over the range microwave that has a clock and timer and found it unnecessary to have these features on my stove as well. It lights with easy, bakes well and looks sharp! Also be aware that the broiler is at the bottom. If you are someone that has trouble bending over or getting low and likes to broil food then this product might not be the best for you.

Just a basic range with a place for things.
My wife and I had to replace our old range with a new one. We wanted a full size one with an area between the burners to place salt & pepper shakers, a spoon dish, etc., because our kitchen is small and we have limited counter space. That became a way more difficult thing that we expected, since virtually everything on the market has a range top completely covered by burner grates. We didn't need a range with all the buzzers and whistles, just one with an area to place things on. It is as basic as you can get as it doesn't even have a clock. The salesman I spoke with knew immediately what I wanted and we are very happy with it.
