Amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is really nothing bad to say about this stove except we are in the 21st century and I think all stoves should come with self cleaning feature,other than that its amazing. The burners heat up fast and cook the food even, the controls are very easy and friendly to use and also easy to clean, the capacity is amazing i can cook a 22lb turkey and still have room for other dishes to heat up at the same time. My whole life I can't recall any other appliances in our house has always been GE and now my children are grown using the same appliances. It has always been a product you can count on,

I’m a little scared of it sometimes
My range looks great in my kitchen and the cook top was exactly what I wanted as I am not ready to move to glass just yet, I love my electric coils. I wish I would have realized it was not self cleaning but even if it were I am not sure I would use it. When I use the oven the entire appliance gets so hot I am sometimes afraid it will catch fire. We have repositioned the vent and that seems to have helped a little but I will never leave it and go to another room without continually checking. I thought GE is a great name how can I go wrong but this was a less expensive model and it seems I got what I paid for We shall see how this pans out

So far so good
We've just recently had this stove installed. So far it's working great. The burners heat up pretty quickly. The oven has been great and so far everything we've baked has been cooked well. We knew we were buying a lower cost product so weren't expecting anything spectacular. We don't like the fact the cooktop doesn't close down tightly after opening it to clean. If you hold both sides it actually moves side to side. The plastic on the settings area has a big bubble in it which doesn't affect using it but it's a bit irritating. Our last GE stove was much sturdier. In general we are happy with our purchase and hoping it lasts for many years.

GE hotpoint with sensi-temp burners
The oven part of the new stove is great, however we are not at all impressed with the new 'sensi-temp technology' burners on the stove top. They cook very slow and are very fussy with older cookware. I do not like the sensi-temp burners, my old burners cooked much faster. GE please go back to the regular burners they were much better on our older Hotpoint stove. Looks like we have no choice in the matter because all the stoves we saw had the same sensi-temp burner. Gotta pick up some of the old burners for our new stove or would love it if you would let me swap out these for the old fashioed burners, then I would love my new stove.

Pretty good
I had the same GE electric stove but the white color. I bought this so fast because everywhere was selling out and back order for 2 months. This one don't have Self Cleaning and Broil buttons. Also, the red light indicates is only on one side of the range. Not on both showing the sides that is on. And to top it off, this has the new center pressure button. It does make my pots tip when it heating up with no food I side. Then if the bottom of the pan is NOT totally flat. It won't heat. Good thing I only have 1 pan that this happens with....but it is my fav pan. But over all, I can over look the "lower grade" of the electric stove, from comparing it to my ol white one. Still cooks my food.

Simple but works well.
It's been seven months since my original review. The oven and top burners have all been working very well. I would prefer not to have the sensi-buttons on the coil burners but they have not caused any major cooking problems. My two main issues are with the oven.....when you turn the oven on and set a temperature there is a constant and very irritating very loud clicking, from the thermostat I guess, that is really really irritating. And the top of the oven, between the burners gets super hot when you are using the oven...its a bit scary, needs much more insulation!!!!! The oven does maintain very accurate temperature control.

Seems Good Overall
The Sensor coil burners seem to work well and heat everything quickly including pots of water for things like pasta. I don't see much difference in performance with these sensor coils and our old coil top range which is something that really concerned me. The oven bakes everything evenly but the heating element seems to cycle on more often than our old range. That might be because the oven vents so much heat through the whole top of the stove which gets quite hot to the touch. Our old range wasn't like that. I think that is the only thing that disappoints me about this range. Otherwise I enjoy using it. It also looks nice.

Burners stop working!
I purchased this range for my son around 7-8 months ago and the burners have stopped heating, sporadically. They will be working fine on high and then just cool almost completely down without being turned down or anything. The surface is super hard to keep clean. Worst GE appliance we ever owned.
Ironically, I purchased a very similar range a month prior and am having the SAME issues. GE is certainly NOT what it used to be. I have used GE for a very long time and I am an avid cook so I can promise you the problem is NOT operator error. My personal range has been “fixed” three times, yet still does the same thing. I guess I will have to switch to another brand. Apparently GE ranges are now disposable. You’ll be lucky if you get a years worth of cooking on it!
