GE 30" White Electric Coil Range with Self Clean

We are very pleased with our new GE Electric Range. It is a plain jane appliance. Simple to use and not overly digitized. We only needed something to cook on and not do any other thing. No, we don't need to follow our cooking and baking via an app on our phone and model #JB256DMWW fits the bill.

It was the model I wanted, with the control panel and the large burner at the front on the right side. The oven works great, and all of the control panel is easy to use. The large burners barely get hot, I have to turn them on high to cook on them. The small burners get red even on a medium setting.

We had a flat top range, but my wife found that it was difficult to keep thr top clean when food came in contact with the hot burners. This GE coil top is much easier to keep clean. very good stove for the money.

Mostly we are very happy with this range. The bottom drawer, however, is very cheaply made and the drawer is "off track". We called the small business we bought it from. They sent a repair person to look at it. He contacted GE and was told "that's just the way it is". No repair was done.

Just replaced a frigidaire, controls shorted out after 8 months . This has a much more solid top and doesn't sink and sag in the middle when a large pot is put on it. Oven racks are heavier don't sag in middle. burners are elevated not flush so if something boils over it stays on top.

We only had it about a week,. The display for the time is very bright, and is easy to set. The burners have a sensor on each, you can only use certain kinds of pans. The stove is easy to level, do not put the level in top in the middle of the stove. Level the stove from top sides.

Very easy installation. Set to go within the hour it arrived. Lovely modern features. Easy to use and cook with. Safety features that stand out when burner surfaces are hot. Bright displays. Compliments GE products like the ansel microwave we purchased alongside it.

The oven is not insulated properly. When you use the oven it heats the house up. The top of the stove is hot to touch when you are baking. My Kenmore stove was warm to touch while baking. I thought that I was buying a stove that was at least as good as the 35 year old stove.

Had to replace our old GE Range (20+ yrs old), and this is has a larger oven, (although same basic size outside) faster heat-up of burners and much easier to clean. Love the oven settings and the oven heats up much faster and stays at a consistent temperature.

I HAVE HAD MY NEW GE RANGE FOR NOT QUITE THREE WEEKS AND LIKE IT VERY MUCH. I HAD A SIMILAR GE RANGE FOR 20+ YEARS SO WHEN THE NEED AROSE I DECIDED TO STICK WITH A WINNER. THE ONLY THING I WISH IT HAD WAS AN INDICATOR WHEN THE OVEN HAS REACHED IT'S DESIRED TEMP.
