Pretty, functional, overpriced
The range looks terrific, and the smooth-top performs well, and is easy to clean. I'm still tweaking the oven temp, which is running a little cool, but the broiler is nice and hot. Haven't tried the steam clean feature yet. Drawer is flimsy, don't feel comfortable storing heavy items in it. The BIG minus is features: I researched 24" ranges thoroughly, and knew I'd compromise on extras if I didn't spend big bucks, but this pretty thing doesn't even have a clock, timer, or oven-on indicator light, all of which are taken for granted on 30" ranges at less than half the price. I think GE could have done better, and just.....didn't.

Love our new GE Stove!
We have always had a stove with the coil burners and drip pans and were so fed up with the drip pans constantly dirty and the coil burners going out of round, so finally we decided on this new glass top cookstove and could not be happier!! No more frying pans jiggling around on the burners, everything cooks evenly now. Big glass door to see in the oven, bottom drawer to put a few things in and easy cleaning on the stove top with recommended cleaning product. We have a small area so this stove works out perfectly! Just wish the price wasn't so high, but they always are on one this size.

Good Job at Baking
I bought this strictly for baking; I have a gas cooktop for other food prep. We've had it for a month or so and baked half a dozen times. It meets the set point relatively quickly and holds temperature during baking. (Though I use an oven thermometer too.) Oven temp indicator goes out when it reaches 350, but not when I had it set to 425. Racks are decent quality though I haven't tried to roast using a very large pan yet. Vents are unobtrusive. Large oven window is a plus. Did a bunch of research to find a range with few electronics to break down -- am happy with my purchase thus far.

Great apartment size stove
We love this range. I gave it 4 stars for only one reason. The dial for oven would be better digital. The turn knob makes it hard to pick the temperature. 300,350,400. I usually bake cookies 375 for 7 minutes etc. it’s hard to know what temperature it really is.

Assessment of 24inch GE range
We discovered after we purchased the range that the GE Appliances line had been sold to Haier and was not being manufactured by GE. It shouldn't, then, have been a surprise to discover some deficiencies in the new range. First and foremost, the oven temperature was off by almost 50 degrees F from the oven control knob indication, and adjusting the screw on the control knob as the instruction booklet specified helped very little. We went through a long series of phone calls before finding the authorized repair service which did come and replaced the thermostatic control element. Another knob, one controlling a surface heating element, was loose and when pulled off it proved to be of shoddy plastic design instead of the metal it mimicked. We had to squeeze some tape around the control shaft to make it fit tightly. The range now works well, but we remain concerned about the quality of this product and how long it will last.

My new stove
The stovetop looks great--it's such a relief not to have to clean burner pans; the oven heats up much faster than my previous oven did. I have only one major objection to the range; the thermostat is impossible to use. There are very few markings, and those that are there do not correlate with anything the oven does. I have to use an oven thermometer to get the oven to work with any precision. I ordered this online; I admit that if had encountered this in the flesh before buying I would have gone for another model.

Oven dial not accurate
This is poor quality. You will need to buy a oven thermometer to find out what temperature the oven is as the dial is 100% inaccurate. I wish I could send it back but the distributor (goedekers) will not respond to my emails.

Less than what I expected
I knew it was G.E., it was around a thousand with a glass top. With that, I assumed it had a clock, a timer, some LED features. No. My fault for assuming. My fault for thinking "I'm sure their minimum will be good enough." I'm not a bells and whistle man, but come on now..... Lesson learned. But I have to say I'm a little annoyed that G.E. would put such a lame range on the market.
