We recommend!
Purchased top of the line LG Washer and Dryer in 2019. Both had issues within 4 years. We decided to go back to GE and we are very pleased that we did. These are not top of the line models, yet they do everything that we can ask for. The size difference in that it is only 27" deep helps a lot due to our limited space. Prior to purchasing I read some negative reviews of the end cycle buzzer being too loud, but we don't have any issues at all. Love the capacity, we are three adults in the house. We selected this machine primarily due to the simplicity of the controls as our last set (LG) were digital, which was the first ting to go on the washer. We recommend this machine!

Product can wake the dead
The dryer itself I am thankful works as designed since my old one stopped working. I just honestly have no idea how it passed overall with the dryer signal. Most of us work from home these days. The signal is insanely loud & why 3 times at almost 10 seconds each buzz???!!! It’s like because it’s the cheapest model as a consumer we are penalized for being on a budget with your marketing & design team who approved it. I wish i could afford to return it but here we are. Please do better in the future because I really do like GE products but this one here i definitely would not recommend.

Very Good Electric Dryer
I purchased this GE Dryer a couple of weeks ago and have now had time to use it several times. The Dryer is quiet, effective and has a end of cycle buzzer to advise when it is within one minute of finishing the cycle. I have had no problems with it, it is easy to use, top panel is clear about which cycle to use based on fabric (cottons, casual i.e. permanent press) and a timed cycle. I am happy with the Dryer and it is performing very well. Although it does take a few loads to get accustomed to the end of cycle buzzer. However, being only 27 inches across the front, it fits my condo's utility closet just fine. I am a happy customer.

Simple and effective! VERY LOUD BUZZER
Decent options for heat / fabric settings. Dryer in running mode is quiet, however, the dang buzzer!!!!! I do not need the reminder buzzers either. Clothes tumble and dry great. Still trying to work out the setting to allow effecient drying. I had my previous dryer for 18 years and knew exactly where to set it for each type of load: jeans, or towels, or casual clothes so as to not be having it running after the clothes were dry. I DO WISH there was a way to silence the buzzer, extremely loud even with the laundry room door closed, I could hear it out on the front porch, neighbor thought it was a fire/smokealarm and came running over.

Adequate all around
OK, electric dryers don't dry nearly as well as gas-operated ones do, but for a dry climate like mine it's OK. I had a GE gas model that lasted over 35 years; this one will probably last 6 or 7 if par for the course for new equipment. It's been a long time since we saw durability in our appliances. That goes for just about everything; my new panasonic phone is already failing while the exact same model purchased 15 years ago is bettere and still works 100%. So it goes.
The control knob feels squishy and uncertain; it will probably be the first to go. You can hardly tell when it's lined up the way you want. But it has a very nice finish, probably better than the old one.

Very satisfied
We love the fact that it has temperature sensors that sense when the clothes are dry. Our other (very old) dryer didn't, of course, and clothes were either not dry when they came out or super hot to the touch. Clothes now come out "just right." Barrel is roomy even though we had to get the "shallow" model to fit in our space. Only (small) complaint is that it has "warning" buzzers (3 of them!) to tell you when the dryer is nearly finished, and then finished. The buzzer is really loud! We wouldn't put the dryer on and go to bed because it would surely wake us up. Seems unnecessary. Maybe one small "ding" would be sufficient?

GE dependable affordable
All of my GE appliances have been working for many years. My new dryer is very easy to operate and it’s larger capacity is great for king size sheets and blankets. GE is a trusted name for many years going back to when I helped at home doing the laundry when we no longer took clothes outside to dry.
We thought we were rich having a washer and dryer but actually we were like everyone else who were enjoying the luxury. Laundry was not done in conjunction with the weather but at our family convenience. GE stands for General Electric and that means dependability for years ahead.

It's a dryer
We just wanted and needed a basic dryer and that is what we got. It does the job of getting our clothes dry just fine. Main complaint is with the alarm that sounds to let you know the cycle is almost finished and then again when the cycle ends: it is incredibly loud and jarring, and there is no option to turn it off. Only other complaints are 1) the door seems really thin and seems like it might not last as long as the rest of the machine and 2) the lint trap is very poorly designed, is flimsy and difficult to take out and put back in. I noted I would recommend to a friend but would do so noting the above.
