I have only had this washer for a week, but so far so good. It is super quiet when it agitates; you can't even tell when it is. It spins clothes out good. The only thing I have found so far that I really don't like about it is you can't open the lid after it starts agitating or it messes the cycle...
This is a basic washing machine. For my family this is a good unit. I had a front loader and had nothing but problems. This machine does it's job, drum is very large and gets the clothes clean.
I have owned this washing machine for almost a year now and have had no problems with it. It does make some noises that my old washer did not, but GE explains them in the instruction booklet. I just put the clothes in with some soap and let the machine do it's job. I don't care about the noises.
We bought this washer almost two year ago, and for the most part it is adequate. Good things to say about it inlcude it's large capacity, quiet washing cycle, and stainless steel tub. Like other reviewers, however, we have a huge problem with it going off balance.
I bought this washing machine from Home Depot 3 months ago. At first, the washing machine was very quiet and operated without any problems and just in the last 3 weeks I have been having trouble with it going out of balance during the rapid spin cycle.
I HATE THIS WASHER. I am on my 3rd washer in 5 years. I bought one of the original Maytag front loaders and it was a nightmare. Molded, I had to continually bleach it and leave the door open (and it is in a small narrow utility room that is the walk way to my garage).
I wish I had never bought this machine. I feel bad because when I first bought it, it was for a rental property so I didn't know how awful it was; our poor tenants never complained.
The worse washing machine I have ever used. Be prepared to cut your medium loads in half just to get the water to fill past your clothes. Forget about large loads, this washer does not do them. The "hot" water is a joke!
Yes, I was a sucker too! Lasted 16 months before it needed motor and tub replacement. Parts and labor to repair just under the price of a new one!
I read a lot of negative and positive reviews on this washing machine model before purchasing. After reading reviews, speaking to appliance sales people, and HE washer owners, I was adamant about purchasing a replacement washer with and agitator and the ability to select MY desired water level.
