CHEAP GE WASHING MACHINE from
WORST WASHING MACHINE EVER!
This is the worst washing machine we have ever owned. We have purchased three Lennar homes and they use this machine in all their homes. It barely fills with water to clean the clothes and when running it sounds like someone groaning and dying. All three were replaced with Samsung appliances by us in each home. My husband works for GE and we aren't impressed. You could NEVER wash bulky bed linens or a large load of laundry in this machine. When you do wash clothes make sure to open the lid and push everything under water or that part of the clothing will come out dry and never washed.....cheap and inferior quality. We have had THREE of them......HORRIBLE washing machine.

This model looked great in the store, and other reviews made it worth the risk to buy. Unfortunately, while it works, it's extremely loud, there's a loud clanking when the cycle changes and the lid locks, and there is no fabric softener dispenser. There's no agitator, which I love; but there should be dispenser trays for this model. The Downy ball I use doesn't open for some reason in the wash cycles in this washer. Never had a problem with my former Whirlpool washer. This is the second GE washer I've bought in the last 2 months (upgraded from the previous model as I thought the issues were with the lower end models...NOPE!).

It washes my clothes well
It's an average washing machine minus the agitator in the middle which does make more room in the tub. However, it is missing one feature that I really like in my old GE washer, that being the fabric softener dispenser that's built into the agitator. It seems like that would be able to find a place to put one of those so I don't have to wait around and listen for the rent cycle to put my fabric softener in if I choose to. Also I don't always agree with the living locked every time it locks because sometimes I need to add an item in there, fix the imbalance, etc. I do like the feature that if it gets imbalanced, it fixes itself.

Terrible washing machine!
I've been doing laundry for 50 years. I've had numerous washing machines over the years. I had an energy efficient machine for the last 15 years. This machine is horrible. My clothing does not get clean. In fact, on several loads quite a few items did not even get fully wet. It hasn't been laundered if it hasn't even gotten wet. Lastly, my last load of laundry was so tightly twisted together after the wash finished I needed my husband's assistance to untangle the rat's nest they had become. That certainly will take a toll on the life of my clothing. This washer put a real damper on the excitement of purchasing a new home. I'd replace it in a heartbeat! BOO!!

Horrible machine
In my opinion this is an awful machine and I never would have purchased it myself. It is the machine the builder installed as part of my new home purchase. The “sensing” is ridiculous as it does not even draw enough water to wet the clothes. I have literally watched an entire wash cycle and some of the clothes never even got wet much less cleaned. Pathetic design flaw. I have to soak the clothes in a bucket of water to add weight to the machine so the sensing feature will draw enough water. This has to be timed just right as you cannot add water after it senses as then it will not draw enough rinse water. Cannot wait until I can afford to replace it with a matching that actually washes clothes.

Items get SHREDDED & RIPPED by this machine
We purchased this washer from the builder of our new house just a couple of weeks ago. Since the very first loaded, it has shredded/ripped towels and clothes. Specifically, the ends of the towels, rags and clothes get stuck between/underneath the agitator plate (located on the bottom of the tub). This causes the hem (on towels, shirt collars, etc.) to become detached and strands of cotton to be hanging off the item. Now, our items appear as if a garden rake was ran through them. We have never overloaded the washer, and we have even ran small loads (e.g., just a couple of towels) but yet the items still get shredded/ripped. Any person knows that it’s not easy to rip apart a hem on a towel or shirt, so you can imagine the force of the agitator.

FIVE loads of wash . . . now does NOT work. CRAP
worked great . . . for 5 washes. Now, the tub will not fill with water. After 5 loads, constant shifter sound, BUT minimal water in tub. Nowhere near enough to even get to spin cycle. I have to scoop out a tub of hardly/partially damp cloths to bring to a laundromat. Owners' manual is crap - had to DL it. Now the lid will not lock. Brand new washer, came with brand new house, moved in 2 weeks ago . . . stuck with it until someone takes action. VERY concerned about GE quality. All the other appliances are GE as well. . . . wish I brought my problem free LG with me
