Not Reliable
I purchased this refrigerator 15 months ago. Just beyond the warranty, the refrigerator stopped working (still "running", but not "cooling"). This was purchased for a rental property, where my tenants keep everything meticulous - and did not do anything that would have caused these issues. I am now trying what GE recommended - a "manual defrost" and hope that this works and does not continue to happen as it requires turning off the fridge for 8-10 hours. I am giving this a 1 star based on the fact that it is causing issues so soon after purchasing. Very disappointing as I purchased this product based on the positive reviews and the reliablity.

LOUD. LOUDER. LOUDEST. Do NOT buy.
I have never hated a refrigerator in my life until this arrived. It is LOUD. It runs constantly and sometimes vibrates. It's like having a Peterbilt Diesel Truck in the house. GE has come out three times and claims it is normal yet every friend or family that comes over looks at it and asks what is wrong with it. GE has yet to offer any sort of accommodation such as replacement or upgrade. I don't care if I have to pay the difference for a better fridge...I just want this out of my life. I own many properties...all of which have a fridge. None of which are as loud and cheap as this. Do not buy it. Buy anything other than this.

Fits a compact space
We purchased this refrigerator because we like the brand and have found our other products by the same brand to be well made. This refrigerator has been a disappointment. The wire shelves cause items to tip over easily. The refrigerator began making LOUD noises while running. I m talking about really loud rumbling sounds. Of course those noises began after the warranty period. The refrigerator also has spots that will freeze your food. You could deal with that if it was always the exact same spot but that’s not the case. Sometimes it’s the top shel, sometimes middle, sometimes bottom sometimes the front other time it’s at the back of the fridge.

A no-frills refrigerator, and that's O.K.
I purchased this refrigerator to replace one that was larger and fancier, and a source of problems and costly repairs. I wanted a no frills, reliable model to keep food cool and ice cream frozen. Ironically, this model is the same refrigerator that was initially replaced by the fancier one, bcz it was ordinary in appearance but never a source of issues. Hoping this experience will be similar to that one. Also pleased that it was purchased from a local store that offers repair services should they be needed. Very pleased with this purchase and refrigerator. It was what I was looking for-a refrigerator need not make a "fashion statement"!

Sub-standard design & cheap quality
Like every other modern GE appliances the quality is sub-standard design and cheap quality! I had to replace my 25+ years old GE refrigerator that stopped cooling. I was constrained by the space and size due to the kitchen cupboards. Chose this one solely for the same size and capacity. The interior room available is very limited compared to the same size old fridge, even the freezer section. The Fresh Vegetable draw/tray is missing. The shelves can not be adjusted easily like the old one. They have to be completely pulled out to place it in the alternate slots. The previous one were just tilt and hook in-place! Let us see how long this one will waste

New Place=New Fridge!
My daughters and I finally moved into our new apartment. We had no fridge and because the last tenant didn’t leave the fridge. I have two small girls and needed to go shopping but first needed a fridge. The company I used was so helpful and understanding, I got my fridge delivered and installed quickly. The fridge itself works wonderful. Temperature is perfect and i love the perfect pearly white color. It has lots of space and hasn’t given me any issues not one bit. I’m super happy with my fridge and it’s the first one I’ve ever owned! Thank you for making a wonderful energy efficient product GE!

Small refrigerator
I bought this refrigerator to replace one that I bought about 30 years ago (not a GE). I was not able to get one the same size as that one, most were too big so I had to settle for smaller. To clean the coils on this I have to pull the refrigerator out from it's spot. The other had it underneath, easy to access. Since I have pets, I need to take care of this because of the shedding hair.. I had to have someone come in because this one kept defrosting and forming ice on the freezer door. The adjustment did the trick. It seems to be good now and as long as everything is cold, I am happy

Terrible shelves
The wire shelves are just awful. They don't give even support to narrow base objects, like glasses, resulting in spills. Also there is no lunch meat crisper and the height spacing does not lend well to many types of jugs. It also doesn't cool as well as I would like.
