Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Overall, very good and value for money.
This range is exactly what I was looking for, an electric range with the control knobs at the front and an electric oven that is that only, and not a convection one. My one dislike is the arrangement of the cooktop. The two largest (9 inch) "burners" are at the front. Granted, the one on the right is a double, with a 6 inch "burner". However, as a cook, it makes more sense to me to have the double "burner" at the front, along with one of the smaller, 6.5 inch, "burner". Of course, this might mean shifting or doing away with the Warmer Zone. That would be fine by me. I don't know anyone who cooks exclusively in pots or pans that have a 9 inch base.

Dangerous Controls from
Poor Design Creating Fire Hazard
The controls for the dual zone burner of the GRS500PVSS range are poorly designed and dangerous. The visual view of our stove DOES NOT match the illustration in the user's manual (see page 10). When the dial of our dual burner is turned to LO, the inner burner heats to HI. Then, as the dial is turned toward the HI setting, the burner actually goes to the LO setting. This flaw is not only serious - but it is also an accident / fire waiting to happen. If GE does not provide an immediate fix, we intend to demand a full refund on the range and will purchase a different product from a different manufacturer. It is hard to believe a mistake like this could make it all the way through design, testing, and manufacturing. And that leads one to question the robustness, reliability, and quality of all GE products.

Extremely DANGEROUS knobs, reporting to the CPSC
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove is beyond UNSAFE and needs to be recalled IMMEDIATELY and don’t you DARE try to tell me to purchase knob covers, DO NOT!! The knobs move entirely too easily and almost caught our kitchen on fire. The touch panel won’t respond if I have a hot mitt on, but if I brush it with my shirt, the oven turns on!! Absolutely unacceptable, unsafe and beyond a waste of money!!! We had the model with the 45 degree panel front and it was great except for no good way to see if you left burners on. You should be ashamed and fire whomever designed this piece of crap!!!

Fast oven, slow burners
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my GE range because it said fast oven heating time. This is true. It is much faster than the range I replaced. However, the burners are a joke. It takes forever for the burners to heat water to a boil or to cook food. I started lifting up my pots and pans to look at the burner. It would only be a fraction of the coils lit up most of the time. When I would lift the pan, the coil would light up the whole burner. This is the case with all the burners. I am not happy with my purchase. Cooking anything on the stove top is very unpredictable.

Reconsider this option from
Hazard
Do not purchase! This unit is a fire hazard without a lock to keep the controls from inadvertently being pushed. I left a plastic box on the stove which melted and pitted the burner. What a shame! Followed the instructions to clean to no avail! Why does the oven have a lock but not the stovetop?

Don't love it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the front burners are hard to use with smaller Pots. The left burner has a small and a large designation on the knob ( though only one ring) but if you turn the small burner on only it takes forever to heat up. The right one, even though it has a small and a large ring on the stovetop, only has one switch on the knob, so you can't use small pots on it. and again if you don't turn it on high it takes forever to heat up.
Also it's very easy to turn the stove top on accidentally by just barely bumping into the knobs.
It is pretty though.

Having issues all around
I am unhappy with our purchases for a number of reasons. The first one being, our front left burner stoped working 5 months after purchase. When that burner is turned on, it stays on high even if set to low. In addition, the stovetop scratches very easily, and the stainless steel needs to be cleaned often as it smudges and stains. Also, the bottom drawer is so thin/unsturdy. It never stays on track. Currently in the process of scheduling for the burner to be fixed since is has a one year warranty. I am really worried about something else breaking once that warranty expires.
