Water filter/ pressure flow/ ice dispenser problem
The overall design of this fridge is great. Lighting is great. But the issues lie in the water filter and ice dispenser. The first time we changed the water filter, I’m unsure of what happened but the flow of the water is SO SLOW it takes a solid 3 minutes to fill up a cup. I use my water from the sink most of the time because it takes so long. And the ice dispenser hardly ever has ice. When it does, it gets stuck and you have to open the back to shake it to get it to fall. And when we went to look into someone coming out for the ice dispenser/water flow we realized it goes out of warranty after 30 days. Everything else is in warranty except that. Convenient for GE….

Absolutely Love this GE Refrigerator
This refrigerator offers so much room. The ice maker is in the door which allows more refrigerator space. Although the ice maker is a bit smaller than others, GE offers a second ice maker that is placed in the freezer drawer. Even with the extra ice maker in the freezer there is still enough space for frozen items. It is quite, except for when the door/s gets left open. It chimes to let you know. I LOVE this feature! It is very sturdy and heavy duty. The color finish is versatile matching any interior wall color, cabinet finish and counter top. The slate finish never seems to show finger prints. Purchase this refrigerator and you won't be sorry!

A little noisey
We replaced a 7 year old GE profile fridge that is similar to this. We were hesitant of buying GE again because of our experience with what we replaced. But after talking to multiple appliance stores, they assured me this was the right choice based on what we were looking for.
We've only had the refrigerator for 2 weeks now. Our initial impression is it will be fine for what we need. The only real issue we have so far is how noticeably louder it is compared to our previous model. If we don't have the issues we had on our last model I can live with the noise as it's not unbearable but we do wish it would be a quieter.

Loudest refrigerator we've ever owned. It is louder than our operating dish washer. When the water or ice dispenser is closed it sounds as if a jail door is being shut. You can tell when the compressor is working, because you can hear it from 30' away. I read reviews from other people about the high noise level, but never dreamed it would be this loud. Everything seems to operate properly, but the high noise level overrides any positive features of this unit. We have GE built-in convection oven, microwave and cook top in our kitchen and they have been rock solid. We purchased the GE refrigerator to compliment those items. It is too bad this refrigerator does not meet the quality standards of our other GE appliances.

Bad cooling system
We have had this refrigerator for over a year and have had ongoing issues with it not cooling properly, the temperature this morning is 50 degrees and the temperature should be at or below 40 degrees. E have had to replace our prior GE refrigerator with the same cooling issue but the present Ge refrigerator is not keeping temperature at 40 or below it goes up to 50 degrees . this is dangerous for health reasons and especially since my husband has battled leukemia and this could be dangerous for his health or any family member for not keeping the food at a proper temperature. The ideal temperature should be between 35 and 38 degrees .

Still Very Disappointed
We bought GE fridge b/c supposedly they are built better and a better product. This is totally FALSE. Your company needs to test these products in a functioning home first before putting on the market. Temperature is not consistent. Freezer freezes up. Was checked good. Milk etc only in door. Cannot fit MILK OJ ETC ON Shelves Bottom large tray does not pull out far enough to see what’s in there. Many more issues. If it was tested in a functioning home theses little but major issues could have been fixed. irritating and wastes lots of food because either ya can’t see it or it’s crammed sideways cause shelves not tall enough apart

Good fridge but...
Doors need to be pushed shut because of spring loaded detent on hinge which tends to lead to a door being left open especially after having a fridge where they would close freely. The freezer door is also hard to open. Sometimes I pull the fridge away from the wall trying to open the freezer. I also don’t think that the manufacturer should have the right to decide that we need to use their filters for the water by having an RFID chip in them and not dispensing water if you use a different brand filter. The customer should be able to use what they want for their water. Otherwise, a fridge is a fridge and it keeps my food cold.

Beautiful, fuctional, great features and size
I love everything about this fridge. I love that the freezer has a top drawer. I love that I can put commercial size cookie sheets and cakes in it. I love that the ice and water dispenser has a lock on it and that there is a chime if the doors are open too long. I wish the ice/water dispenser had a lip in the front so if water or ice spill over, it doesn't get on the floor. Additionally, although the surface is supposed to be smudge and finger proof it still leaves some behind, though they are easily wiped off. Even though I wish these two things were improved upon, they do not bother me enough to change the rating I gave it.
