GE 36 Inch French Door Refrigerator

After a long debate with my wife, we finally decided to purchase this product. I really loved the display and how each features are set up. She loves the fact how it keeps all of our refrigerators safe and fresh without ruining the taste or the smell of it. Thus, this has been a successful purchase.

This is a hard appliance to review.It looks great, although a bit oversized for our galley kitchen. Shelves, internal lighting, door spaces are all well designed.The ice maker with the water dispenser in the door adds convenience, which we originally didn't think we'd want.

About a year ago, I decided to rent out a room in my apartment. I totally took it for granted how much stuff two people can keep in a fridge. Picked up this GE refrigerator and now we have room to spare!

Refrigerator technology has come a long way since the last time I was in the market for one. Very pleased with our purchase of a new GE Freestanding refrigerator. Works perfectly!

You can't go wrong with GE appliances and this Freestanding refrigerator is no different. It meets all of my specifications for a new fridge.

Finally I purchased my new refrigerator after moving to a new house. I am so pleased that I ordered it from appliances connection because it arrived just on time and in a perfect shape. It runs quietly in the background without any interruption.

Terrible refrigerator. After 9 months there is a humming and buzzing sound coming from 2 of the fans that can be heard 2 rooms away. My local appliance service came in and replaced one fan and it is even louder. I had GE service in and they said "that's normal and, since it cools, nothing is wrong".

2 year old refrigerator and 5 service calls later, I finally called GE customer relations. The response from Alice in customer relations to my statement that by many published reports refrigerators should last about 13 yrs, and that ours has been having issues from the moment it was unpacked...

If this is the model gfe26gghdbb then I would stay away. I bought this 3 months ago from homedepot and already the fridge has stopped working. We had to transfer all the fridge food to the old one. The freezer and ice/water are still working but come on...3 months?

We have the predecessor model, GFE29HGDBB. It arrived without any Freon (or whatever it is now called)! The dealer fixed that but now 20 months later, the compressor is failing. Repairman said it would be $600-800 to fix! That is 1/3 the cost of a new one! Warranty is just 12 months.
