Great garage freezer!
It's wonderful when something you buy does everything well. This freezer can take the wider temperatures of the garage without any issues. Our area suffers from power failures on occasion and the GE does a better job of keeping the food cold than its competitors -- that's a big savings over time. There's a temperature readout on the door so you can see at a glance that everything is ok. The door shuts securely with a magnetic seal and it locks to protect contents if you're away, too. Having the extra storage has let us stock up when sales hit and to have reserves for busy times. I wish we had bought this sooner.

Quiet and compact size for my needs
I bought this freezer because my friend had recently purchased the larger size model and did extensive research before buying and it had good reviews. She loves her freezer. I have only had my freezer for a week and also happy with my purchase. My only issue I have had was that it was set by the store delivery team at “Turbo Freeze” and it was supposed to turn off automatically after 8 hours. It did not turn off and I tried to turn it off myself and the panel was locked. I could not change any of the temperatures or turn off the turbo so I contacted the store. They had me unplug it for 3 minutes and plug back in and it all works fine now.

Great features and lots of space!
I just got my new freezer delivered and I love how much space it has! It is easy to use and even makes a magical little noise every time you open it! There is a huge storage bin at the bottom that holds lots of food and I love that the shelves are adjustable so you can make them the size that works right for you. The only thing I find lacking is the door space - the shelves in the door only go about two-thirds of the way down the door and one of them is a smaller width shelf than the rest, which are not very wide to begin with. It would be great if future models had more door shelves that were wider.

Extra Freezer Put to Work
This freezer fits our needs as a family who buys in bulk to save money. There is ample room for meats and vegetables. Although our previous freezer was the same size, we couldn't fit all the food that we had in that freezer in this freezer. Like the features of the temp on the door and the warning signal. These features were not on the freezer that we replaced which was 30+years old. Just hoping to get as good wear with this new freezer. Still have not noticed a difference in our electric bill, which is what we were told would happen with a newer model compared to the 30 year old one.

Great freezer!!
We love the 14 cubic feet freezer because it’s quiet, upright, spacious, shelves on the door, drawer on the bottom, wire shelves for good circulation, it has a light, and an alarm, it can be locked, the settings are on the outside of the door. It’s a great size for the two of us to have extra room for our Costco stuff in our 2 car garage. A must have so you don’t have to go shopping as often during the Pandemic. We learned to freeze a lot of foods as to not waste. Milk, cheese, pizza just to name a few.
Every once in a while we have to press the alarm reset but not a big deal. Our garage gets warm when it’s hot outside. Not a deal breaker. We love the freezer!

Great Freezer
This is by far the best appliance I have ever bought. The unit cools down quickly. Is super quiet. The illuminated electronic display on the front door is very handy. You know its working, what temp its at, and can make quick adjustments. The alarm feature is a big comfort item. You know if you are having issues with the temp rising due to some issue, or power failure, breaker tripped, etc. The unit has a good deal of space. The auto defrost is great too since you don't have to deal with that plus, the ice doesn't build up leaving you with less space and frost on packages. The seal is very good too. Plus energy efficient.

Very happy with all the features of my freezer.
I am very pleased with all the features of my freezer. I love the on door displays, especially the temperature. I also love the bright light in the freezer, it is much brighter than my refrigerator light. One of the reasons I picked this model is because it is Garage Ready. That is the same reason I love the lock. I live in a duplex with one shared garage space. Each side has it's own garage door but there is no wall between the two sides. I live on a very busy street. The neighbors frequently leave their garage door open for several hours. They are also very nosey and have even gone through my trash and recycling.

First Upright Freezer since 1984
I read online reviews in a number of places rating this model #1, so decided to try it. We wanted an upright for easier separation of food types, after years of a chest freezer.
Concerned about GE selling USA appliance division to made in China, but the unit started right up and hit 0F in the 4 hours claimed. It is very quiet - surprising! Shelving and door pockets are well laid out per reviews. Door seal is tight. LED interior lighting is very bright - important for folks getting older like me. So far, so good - if it is reliable and lasts, it retains a 5 star rating.
