This dryer was a great buy. I research a few 120v dryers. I live in a private house apartment and the only 240v outlet is for my air conditioner.   takes an hour to dry but worth the wait. it takes, the same time for my whirlpool front loading, washing machine to wash clothes but the clothes, come out cleaner then if i had to take them to, the laundry mat.

This dryer works so well! It's roomy enough to fit a sizeable load and is perfect for a one or two person household. I'm very happy with this purchase!

My Whirlpool lasted many years but the company doesn't manufacture them anymore. I was happy to find a portable still being made. This one doesn't reach as a high temperatures but dries just the same, just longer cycles. I like the hard metal vent tube on the dryer.

Not only does this machine fit below my counter, and work off of a standard wall outlet, it is quiet, has several settings including an automatic drying setting. This allows you to dry items to your preferance, avoiding over-drying while saving energy.

When I purchased my condo, the first thing I wanted to do was replace the washer and dryer, both 1983 models. I needed compact models that would fit into a washer/dryer closet in the bathroom, as well as a dryer that could be hung from the wall. This GE fit all my requirements.

It is only a 110 volt dryer so the drying times are longer. It would be great for an apartment or any space without a 220 volt outlet. There is no buzzer to indicate when the load is dry. There is no interior light. It gets the job done.
