This 7.5x super-zoom lens for Fujifilm X-series interchangeable lens cameras provides a field of view equivalent to a 27-206mm lens on a 35mm camera, optical stabilisation and costs around £750. This lens also sports a weather resistant construction.
With Fuji making waves with its stream of new mirrorless releases, its lenses are equally renowned. The 18-135mm offers a huge 27-206mm 35mm equivalent, with a widest aperture of f/3.5.
It would be churlish to compare the sharpness delivered by this lens to Fujifilm's prime lenses, as they don't have as many compromises to deal with. Even so, as far as superzoom lenses go, this optic delivers sharp, contrasty images and tons of convenience, thanks to the 7.1x zoom range, optical...
Decent sharpness, Robust build, Lightweight, Retro design with manual aperture ring, Low CA, Low distortion, Weather resistant construction
Possibly a touch expensive when compared to similar lenses from other camera manufacturers, Falloff in performance towards the edges of the frame at either end of the zoom range
I've been shooting with the Fujifilm X system ever since the X-Pro1 came out, but had been a Canon L Series lens user going back to my early Canon DSLR days, and a Leica user before that. These days most of my work is with an X-Pro2. I have a fair number of Fujifilm primes as well as several zooms.
I LOVE this lens. I bought a fixed focal length lens and this zoom lens, and in the end, this is probably the only lens I needed. I use it with the X-T10; and the body is a bit small to support the size of the lens, so I regret not getting the X-T1 (although it is massively discounted right now, so...
When the TSA announced that it requires a separate screening of cameras in airports, I recalled my recent experience traveling through airport security in India where I had to remove my camera gear and place them into the plastic bins as I watched security personnel power on and off the camera, take...
Fuji glass is unbeatable!
Love this lens. Don't like switching primes, so the 18-135 fits my needs perfectly. Well built lens. Sharp images.
Great travel lens, light weight and sharp.
I tend to be a user of prime lenses but needed something more general use for when I travel with the family. This lens fits the bill nicely. The lens is well built, very solid with high quality materials.
This is my second time buying this lens. I tried not to like it looking at all the reviews. I came to this one after selling the 16-55/2.8 which I found too heavy, and the absence of OS was noticeable. I also did not find the 18-55 sharp enough.
I haven't maximized the use of this versatile lens. So far I'm able to take some pretty accurate shots of my son and daughter's sport activities.
A rather small lense with superb results. Price performance ratio high.
