I am deciding between 3 or 4 stars... eventually decided to give 3 stars (really more a 3.5 stars). So what's the problem? One word... sharpness, after spending a full week (mostly shooting the 10-24mm) in Zion National Park & Page...
I love this lens. It is really sharp and the AF is really fast. I used with my T1 and now with my T2. It is a little bit chunky but not huge as wide angle for other camera brands (I had the Tokina 12-24 F4 for Nikon it was bigger that this Fuji 10-24).
This is a phenomenal lens. Very sharp and precise. Love the wide angle. You won't be sorry paying your hard earned money for this.
Although acclaimed as an excellent lens, mine was soft on the right side of the frame, possibly a decentralised element. I alsp got the impression that this lens had been out of the box and wrappings before and may have been a returned item.Sent it back for a replacement, but they claimed none were...
Far sharper than the canon equivalent I had, and the fastest focus of any lens on Fuji I have yet used.
While this lens does take some pretty good images, bang for the buck, it's just not there. The image quality you should get from a lens at this price point is higher than what is delivered. While I am being a bit picky, I think that's permissible for this much money.
This is an incredible piece of glass. Reminds me of my Canon 17-40 f4 that I so much loved. Great stuff.
Great lens sharp as a tack.
ive been an amateur photographer for sixty odd years, mostly film, this is one of the best wide angles i have ever used.
Sharp images. Not too heavy or poorly balanced with a XE-1. Works very well. Winner !
