The Fujifilm X-M5 is excellent for vlogging. It's super portable and has a large, fully articulated screen, so it's well-suited to on-the-go vlogging. It also features a wide range of video features and punches above its class for internal recording capabilities.
-
+
Remarkably compact., Fully articulated screen., Excellent internal recording specs., Wide range of frame rates., Supports open gate 6.2k recording.
-
-
Limited battery life., No IBIS., Noticeable rolling shutter effect.
Fujifilm scored a huge hit with their X-100VI and its retro-cool design and fixed lens. But there are plenty of people who like the vibe but want the ability to use more than one lens.
-
+
Cool retro style (particularly in silver!), Interesting vlogging specific features, Microphones give options, More video features than competitors, AI Tracking upgrade, Huge video spec upgrade, Cheaper than competitors, More robust library of APS-C specific lenses on Fuji

Limited grip means that I’m “pinching” the camera, Autofocus experience only so-so, Lack of viewfinder makes composing in bright light tough, Frustrating memory card access, Q button placement is terrible, Touchscreen functionality remains too limited

Fujifilm’s new entry-level X-M5 is very affordable and that is a good thing because mirrorless cameras are expensive. At a cursory glance, it feels like every smartphone and mirrorless camera nowadays is further and further beyond the reach of most people who are nonetheless enthusiastic about the...

Maybe. If you are into the more video-side of the hybrid experience or don’t feel that an EVF is needed, the X-M5 is an excellent choice on a budget. If you are looking for a great entry-level photographic camera and want an EVF, there are better options.

No EVF or In-body stabilisation, Controls are very compact

The Fujifilm X-M5 sits alongside the photo-centric X-T30 II as a video-focused model for aspiring creators who want a dinky, cool and extremely capable vlogging camera. The two cameras share many features, such as a 26MP sensor and identical sub-$800/£800 list price, yet each are focused for...

Superb video quality and features, Decent value, Well thought-out design, Stylish and compact
-
-
Only a slower UHS-I type card slot, A little fiddly for large hands, Photographers will miss a viewfinder, No in-body image stabilization
Excellent camera, compact but packed with features.
Great camera that pack a punch.
The camera performs well and produces images as expected of it. The user manual is not detailed enough in various areas which I contacted Fujifilm about my concerns. It is a small body which someone with larger hands may easily move a control by mistake.
