Cooktop Replacement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently replaced our 36” Kenmore Elite with the 36” Frigidaire cooktop. We liked the side knob feature and went with the unit. The original countertop opening for our Kenmore Elite was a perfect match with the Frigidaire. We had concerns about the reviews regarding cooktop finish and decided to roll the dice. So far we are pleased with the purchase and haven’t had any issues or learning curve to operate the new unit. All in all the unit was purchased at a great price and appears to be a great value. I wish the knobs had a better finish which would improve the overall look but extremely satisfied with the purchase.

Thankful for that; but it’s already scratched. I have the correct pots and pans for it, I clean it with the cleaner it came with… a glass stop top sponge scratched it immediately, and a crispy hashbrown scratched it. it over all is way to delicate, I don’t think a product should scratch that easily. It’s one the first big purchase to my home and I’m so disappointed in the quality for what I paid. I’m not going to return it because it’s already in my home.. it works. That’s about it. And it’s pretty. Those are the only good things about it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop is great and easily fit into my cutout. Don't believe everyone who says its hard to clean. Water and spills will leave stains yes, but nothing soap and can't fix. And if you really mess it up, the ceramabryte it comes with works pretty well to.
My only con is that you have to be real careful in the cookware you use, but then this seems to be a problem for all glass top stoves, not just Frigidaire. You need to make sure that your pots are super flat in order for them to conduct heat, and make sure that they aren't textured on the bottom, so you don't scratch the glass.

Nice Cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Figidair cooktop was the second cooktop we purchased to replace out old one. We originally purchased a Chinese touch top stove. The instructions for this were terrible, and once we got it installed, one burner was not working.
We found the Frigidaire met our needs and was in our price range. Total installation, including wiring, was less than one-half hour. It dropped right in our counter hole.
We like that it has its knobs on the side. They are easy to operate and turn smoothly. The cooktop heats very quickly and has a good range of heat adjustments.

Beautiful but not Functional
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the idea of giving up my gas stove after reading about possible toxins being emitted from it. But after about 10 days of waiting for my food to heat up for 25+ minutes, I had my husband rip this thing out and put the old one back. Sorry, there's just nothing that compares to gas. It is a beautiful unit though and I was sorry to see it go for that reason. For those complaining about stains, spots scratched etc, I would say you need to use the proper cleaner and tools EVERY DAY on it or you will have a sloppy looking cooktop. If you don't want scratches, stop sliding metal pans across it! I had none of these issue.

Excellent quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cooktop heats quickly and maintains heat more than our previous cooktop. This has lead to a learning curve where oatmeal boils over because it heats so much more quickly than we were used to. A transition we are happy to make for the increased efficiency. The size and spacing between burners is great. Other versions have the same number of burners, but they are spaced so closely that you cannot use more than 2 burners at the same time. We have not had that problem with this cooktop.

Beautiful addition to updated kitchen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a Frigidaire 36" downdraft we had purchased in 1998-replacing another downdraft from the 1970's. Downdraft was to costly and impossible to find in stock. When purchasing a new stovetop we wanted one that had the stove knobs on the side not in the front.-This one was just right! We had it delivered and installed it ourselves. Fit right where the old 36" was . WE did have to purchase, a ductless vent a hood and remove the downdraft parts in the lower cabinet. This cooktop has 4 actual cooking burners and one warmer-such a change from the 2 burners and grill that I was used to. The reason for 4 stars it is a challenge to keep it clean. I found that mircofiber cloths and Weiman's stovetop cleaner works best. Enjoy!
