The Fitbit Versa is the best fusion of smartwatch and general fitness tracker under $200, if you can live with its limitations.

  • +

The Fitbit Versa is a compact, lightweight smartwatch and fitness tracker with an improved interface for easier fitness stat readouts. It’s water-resistant to 50 meters, and works with iOS and Android. Many of the apps and watch faces are useful and fun. Multiday battery life beats the Apple Watch.

  • -

Its battery life falls short of other Fitbit fitness trackers. The apps and watch faces aren’t always easy to load. Music transfer to the watch is complicated and limited. There's no on-board GPS and the charger is bulky. Tap-to-pay model costs a bit more in the US.

The Fitbit Versa offers just the right blend of smartwatch and fitness tracking features for a reasonable price.

  • +

Sleek, lightweight design with lots of style options. Accurate fitness tracking. Guided workouts with Fitbit Coach. Stores music on-device. Long battery life. Supports female health tracking.

  • -

Swapping straps isn't easy. Thick bezel.

Apart from the absence of GPS, the Fitbit Versa perfectly fulfils its mission. It will attract an audience looking for a complete and affordable wearable. Its design, battery life and companion app prove invaluable and make the Versa a practical connected watch for everyday use.

  • +

Design, Fitbit app, Water resistant to 50m, Battery life

  • -

    No GPS, Only Deezer

Last year, Fitbit came out with its first ‘true’ smartwatch, the Fitbit Ionic With Ionic, the company attempted to pack in as many features as it could into the compact frame of a smartwatch.

  • +

More affordable than Ionic, Fitbit's most attractive device to date, A fantastic screen, paired with excellent battery life

  • -

Even with Fitbit OS 2.0, Notifications are a still an afterthought, No standalone GPS tracking, NFC not included on standard model

After two attempts with the Blaze and the Ionic, Fitbit finally made a successful, promising smartwatch. The Versa is what the Blaze should have been from the beginning, but I don't believe Fitbit could have made the Versa if it hadn't developed the Blaze and the Ionic first.

  • +

Lightweight design that's water-resistant up to 50 meters., Bold, full-color touchscreen., Good battery life., New Today dashboard makes finding important daily activity info easy., Great sleep tracking., Accessible developer tools with Fitbit Studio., Fitbit OS is growing, albeit slowly.

  • -

Interchangeable bands are hard to remove and replace on the device., NFC for Fitbit Pay only on special models., Female health tracking and Android message replies not available until later this year., Only one watch face can be saved on-device at one time.

Fitbit's new Versa is a cheaper, more comfortable, fitness-focused smartwatch than its model for athletes, the Ionic, but it still can't compare to the Apple Watch.

  • +

Really comfortable , Super light , Very bright screen , Superb fitness tracking , Long battery life

  • -

No built-in GPS , Bands are difficult to swap , Fitbit OS is still weak , NFC costs extra , Takes forever to change watch faces via app

There are very few reasons why we wouldn’t recommend the Versa if it’s something you’re considering. One of the few downsides is really a problem with Fitbit overall, and that’s the lack of integration with Apple Health and Google Fit. It does lack built-in GPS, but the price reflects that lack.

  • +

Priced well, Style is nice, Tracking capabilities are top-notch, Basic smartphone functions are useful, Water resistant to 50 meters, 4+ day battery life

  • -

Doesn’t integrate with Apple Health, No on-board GPS, Can be buggy/slow to make changes, The charger is not great

The Fitbit Versa boasts strong fitness features for a smartwatch. The company once again proved their mastery of crafting fitness devices. It may look bland on its own but the various strap choices are more than enough to make it look sassy.

  • +

Impressive Fitness Features, Stellar battery life, Improved UI, Sturdy build, Beautiful Screen

  • -

Lack of apps, Lack of GPS, Tedious software setups

The Fitbit Versa is a prettier, cheaper version of the company’s first true smartwatch, the Ionic. It lacks built-in GPS and NFC payments, but you’ll save $100 if you opt for the new watch over the original.

  • +

Best-looking Fitbit yet, Bright colorful screen, Affordable for what it offers, Long-lasting battery

  • -

No GPS built in, Lacks NFC payments

I thought a smartwatch was what I so I asked a friend who is clearly an Apple Fanboy how he liked his Apple watch. He showed me dozens of things he can do with it but when I asked what he used every day, only telling time came to mind and it had to be charged every day.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I've owned the Flex and Alta in the past and the Versa is definitely my favorite. It is very comfortable to wear and surprisingly lightweight. This is the first fitbit I've been able to sleep in comfortably. The screen is clear and there are many ways to customize.

I bought the Fitbit versa the first week of January 2019. I love it! It’s lightweight and doesn’t bother me to keep it on while sleeping. The battery lasts a long time. For me, it lasts at least 5 days. I went to the beach over the summer and kept my Fitbit on while I swam in the ocean and pool!

I love my versa. I don't take it off unless to charge. I purchased it in December I have it for 4 months now I love it I cannot complain just perfect for me. One of my favorite features is that while I am working I can't answer my phone or see who's calling me on my cell phone , but my versa will...

The only negative is the clasp. It is hard to thread the magnetic clasp through the watch frame for wearing on your wrist as the magnet sticks to the frame. While trying to thread it, the watch has to be held in place, but you only have one hand to do this leaving that hand tied up trying to thread...

I really like it other that I have to turn my phone and Versa off and off every day so they can reconnect. I’m about to turn it back in to REI for a 2nd time to get another one that might stay connected.

I am over 65, not in great shape, and not great with computers. I really appreciate that the Fitbit Versa is easy to use, and that it encourages me toward reasonable fitness goals, and doesn't make me feel inadequate. For ex.

I used a Fitbit One back in 2014 to lose a lot of weight and get into shape, and to develop better fitness habits. Moved to an Apple Watch and stayed with it until recently. I was struggling to maintain what I had accomplished with the Fitbit, so I came back to the fold.

Disappointed with the VERSA - purchased in January now all of a sudden the battery isn’t holding a charge. I have to charge every day. Did some research - apparently there are issues with the battery but when I called Fitbit they want me to charge 2 hours, sync 5-6 times a day call them back so they...
