Loved fisher Paykel dish drawers for 20 years!
I’ve loved Fischer & Paykel dish drawers for 20 years Im very happy with how it cleans and the low noise level. My last one only lasted 3 years so I’m hopeful I’ll get more time with this one. I get a single drawer so I get a little more storage space. And I don’t have many dishes, so it fits me fine. I didn’t real8ze there was more than one size and that’s where the loss of on star comes from. The drawer that looked just like the one that broke was smaller now, so I had to reorder.

Highly recommended.
This is a great appliance. It is the second one I have owned. I recently moved and had one in my old place and installed a new one in the new place. I have a very small kitchen and it had to go under the sink. A 'normal' full size dishwasher would not fit under the sink.

We’ve had this dishwasher for about a month. We love the drawer feature. Just enough dishes for two people. Everything comes out clean on the eco wash cycle. The glasses are spot free.

A Gorgeous, Delicate Work Of Beauty
This appliance is stunning, blending seamlessly and beautifully into a modern kitchen. In addition to the whisper quiet operation and beauty, the overall functional drawer design has many ergonomic advantages. Beyond the elimination of the need to bend and stoop to load and unload, there is an inherent efficiency benefit by eliminating between 2 and 6 steps when adding items to the machine. In traditional dishwashers, the uses has to open the door, pull out between 1 and 3 racks, close the racks and then close the door. This design requires only 2 steps to open and close and eliminates the rack steps. This may seem a little over the top, but saving those steps adds up over time.
Now as for the functionality of its primary purpose, due to inherent limitations in the overall drawer design, it functions similar to the early dishwashers with single wash sprayers. Over the years, standard dishwashers have evolved to add many levels of spray arms that allow the high pressure water to reach nearly every part of the loaded items thereby providing excellent cleaning even with haphazard loading. This machine requires attention to correctly load the dishes for effective cleaning. In addition, I have found it is very important to remove as much as possible from the dishes before loading else be greeted with remnants after the cycle completes. Basically, proper loading and a quick rinse of the dishes and cutlery facilitates effective cleaning.
Like many beautiful things, ofttimes there is a tradeoff between form and function. The scale for this machine is decidedly tilted toward beauty and ergonomics at the expense of brute force and functionality. A choice that I probably would make again especially when dealing with space limitations.
