Solid replacement to our old fisker paykel
We replaced a 14-year-old fisker paykel so we had an expectation of what it would be like. What we were not expecting was water efficiency improvements have advanced such that that the dish tablets that we were using would no longer be completely dissolved when put in the power to detergent dispenser (The tablets we use are compacted powder, not wrapped in plastic and small enough to fit in the compartment). It was an easy fix just to drop the detergent in the base of the dishwasher per one of the suggested options in the instruction manual. Our new dishwasher performs similarly to the old one which is a compliment, and is much quieter.

Getting better all the time
This is our third FP double drawer dishwasher, the first two lasting over 20yrs between them and the one we just replaced was still working after just one service in its 11yrs but we'd broken both handles and the audible signs of motor on its way out meant an excuse to get a shiny new one. One helpful thing with the new one is having the display for both drawers at the top, less bending right down to see the bottom one, the new handles are clearly much stronger too. After just a few weeks but much use it is looking good and the fast cycle time is down to 45mins from 53. The new water softener settings are helpful, we've dialed ours right up due to the awful harness of the water where we live. No one else seems to have mastered this two drawer scheme so good for FP for doing a great job.

Love the drawer style - really a back saver.
This is my second 2 drawer Dishwasher from Fisher Paykel. The first one outlasted all the other appliances in the new home we built in 2009. Love it - which is why I was willing to wait over 2 months to get it. Just wish there wasn't standing water on the top edge of the drawer after the wash cycle. If I don't wipe it with a towel - I get my sleeve wet.

Couldn't stand to be without a FPDishDrawer!!
Bought this new FPDishDrawer for new home. Had one in previous home for over 20 years!! Could not stand be without it!!!!
Only thing I have trouble with is the knob for filling rinse aid--hard to maneuver--so I have to use a thin dishtowel to aid with removal.
ps-the folks in our old home LOVE their FPDD also!!

Best dishwasher ever
This is my second FP double drawer dishwasher. First one lasted 23 years. I like the larger top drawer on the new model. Only draw back is the kick plate. It keeps getting kicked off.
