We needed (wanted) a very large screen for our living room but like the idea of being able to put it away. We were surprised to find that we could purchase a projector for a 100 screen for less than a 55 TV..
This is one of my best purchases. I had a DLP projector before and it only focused in middle. This Epson projector focuses even at corners. I used Epson projectors in my office several times so using this projector is very easy. The different video modes also is useful for various settings.
Good picture. I give it 3.5 stars.1. Unit does not have any Audio Out (RCA) to connect to Better Speakers. This is a really bad design decision.2. The Internal Speaker does not have much volume when using device outside.3. Does *not* have a Wired RJ45 Jack for Network.
These projectors were very simple to setup and install. My only complaint on these are the sounds the fans make. We use these in a church and the fan noise is so loud when in normal mode (not Eco) that it’s unusable. I put them in Eco mode and they’re fine, but the picture is noticeably dimmer.
5. When using the Network Projection Utility (from a Windows PC) you have no way to send audio to external speakers. The Windows Computer is in another room so you can't use the Windows Computer Speakers, which you can do if you change settings on Sound Card.
I have had projectors for some years and lastly I bought one cheap but good specs projector which I had to return next day and come back to Epson, they know what they are doing, this home cinema 1060 is amazing, picture quality and brightness is just more than what I expected, I have tested it at...
Very live image and grat colours. A very nice projector!
Fair picture quality for the price and can be used during daytime. It’s excellent quality in dark. The model is lightweight and is portable. I was deciding between this model and Epson 3700. 3700 is twice the price and am sure has great quality. This model doesn’t have 3D. Was not a concern for me.
We replaced an older 480p projector circa 2002 with this Epson 1060. Even in a partially lit 800 sq ft conference room, there is plenty of brightness to clearly see everything on the screen with training videos, powerpoints, and spreadsheets (need to increase the zoom for the latter).
I bought this for my grandchildren. They love it. Every time I go to their house, they are playing a game and projecting it on the wall. It is going to come in handy with creating a nativity scene for the outside.
