The Epson EpiqVision Mini EF12 is a smart TV masquerading as a portable projector. Its small form manages to contain a long-lived laser light source, Android TV, Google Play Store apps and games, and even good audio.
-
+
Long-lived laser-phosphor light source, Native 1080p resolution; supports 4K UHD (3,840-by-2,160) input and HDR, Three-chip LCD engine (3LCD) for equal color and white brightness and no rainbow artifacts, Integrated Android TV, Wi-Fi and two HDMI ports, Impressive audio options
-
-
No 3D support, Only moderate brightness
The Epson EpiqVision Mini EF12 combines 1080p resolution, good light output, and a great sound system in a relatively compact package. It’s what we look for in a portable lifestyle projector.
-
+
Laser projector with very good light output for its size, Great color accuracy in Natural color mode, Yamaha-tuned built-in speakers are some of the best in a projector, Android TV interface is easy to use
-
-
High black level and mediocre contrast, HDR feature is inconsequential
The Epson EpiqVision Mini EF12, with an MSRP of $999.99, is a portable Smart media projector with Android TV built-in, sound by Yamaha, Chromecast, and Wi-Fi. It is a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) 1,000-lumen laser projector capable of up to 20,000 hours of operation in normal/quiet mode.

Great sound, small size make it perfect for tight spaces and apartments.

It's expensive, and similarly priced projectors can get much brighter.
Honestly, the EF12 is one of the best-looking projectors on the market. With laser projection and portable functionality, it offers a great marriage of form and function too. The laser-powered picture is colourful and clear, with a distinct lack of blurring in fast-moving images.

Gorgeous design, Great picture for the size, Built-in Chromecast

Only Full HD, Too much lag for gaming, Can be expensive
This is one of the best projectors I have ever owned. It is very easy to use. The picture quality is excellent. The colors are crystal clear and you can project on a wall. The speakers are by Yamaha so the sound is of highest quality and I like the fact that you can control it.
Projector is nice but not as bright as I would like. I wish the projector had a built-in zoom, this would help greatly with placement.

Not as bright, only 1000 lumens, no zoom
I have never owned a projector before and so I had a concern this would be difficult to use. What a breeze it was to set up right out of the box! It has AndroidTV built-in and so it was so easy to get access to streaming services after connecting it to the WiFi in my home.
Excellent picture quality. I wish it was more compatible with Apple products.

Not Apple friendly. Can't project wirelessly.
I bought this projector for work presentations and it serves its purpose well! The image is sharp and vivid with very high resolution. Sound is excellent and also very sharp. I have previously purchased other projectors but the sound was barely audible- this projector has excellent sound quality...
I love my epiqvision mini smart streaming laser projector! The picture is movie theater quality. The sound is out of this world. It is lightweight and compact. Easy to use. I have a feeling it's gonna be a great movie summer
This projector is way beyond my expectation, in many ways:- Design: This might not be something everyone consider but I do LOVE its stylish design, it is mass black with gold tone frame on top, in a box shape, looks way cooler than the flat irregular shaped options.
This Epson projector is amazing! The actual projector is quiet (no loud whirring distracting from the audio), it has crystal clear picture, and the sound quality is amazing. I love that I can just connect my phone via Bluetooth so I don't need to worry about wires and/or cables getting in the way.
