Epson's laser-based EF-100 projector is designed to stream from sites like Netflix and Hulu, or project from a set-top box or Blu-ray player. Either way, it delivers a satisfyingly bright image at large size in ambient light.
Laser light source designed to last the life of the projector, Bright enough to stand up to ambient light, Three-chip LCD engine eliminates rainbow artifacts, delivers equal color and white brightness, Bundled with Android TV dongle
Low resolution by current home theater standards, No 3D or HDR support, Only one HDMI port
The Epson EF-100B is a great projector and is capable of delivering an amazing picture. With it’s use of a Laser Lamp and 3LCD Colour, It’s sure to impress.
Epson EF-100 Projector (EF-100B / EF-100W) offers true portability and more importantly, quality images, easy setup and even streaming device connection.
Epson’s first take on a portable and compact projector isn’t a bad one. Needless to say, using the Epson EF-100 as a fixed living room projector isn’t going to be winning many prizes compared to other units within its own range. The projector was meant for the road and designed that way.
Portable design, Streaming stick support, Brightness, Indicated bulb lifespan
Contrast, Native 720p resolution
Next month, Netflix premiers , the latest film by legendary film director Martin Scorsese, just four weeks after a limited release at select cinemas. It appears that the Epson EF-100 home theatre projector - the company’s first portable laser projector - has come just at the right time.
The Epson EF-100 was released in 2019 for a price of £849/$999/€1399/CAD$1299/AUD$1699.
Very bright for its size, Smart TV stick-friendly design, Fairly sharp lens
Significant "screen door" effect, Poor black level, Speaker distorts with some content, Poor resolution
The Epson EF-100B is a neat package capable of delivering a decent quality image to a large surface. Its particular virtue is the LED laser light source, which makes the projector more versatile and gives it a very long maintenance-free life. But the cost is the less-than-1080p resolution.
Laser light source, Long life, Flexible, Looks cool
Sub-full HD resolution
The cinema experience is typically for movies, but the Epson EF-100 brings a big screen to your home for mobile and streaming, too....
Very small, Brightness is exceptional for either lights on or lights off, Made to support phones or wireless media sticks, Supports Bluetooth audio, Low noise volume
Only one HDMI, No wireless streaming built in, Not Full HD
So far so good
no cons as of this point
This is a review for the Epson EF-100 Mini-Laser Streaming projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This projector is great and easy to setup. I was up and running in 10 minutes or so.
Overview: The EF-100 is the best looking and among the most versatile all in one portable projectors I have used. It is lightweight, easy to set up and includes both streaming capabilities and built in speakers.
This is a review for the Epson EF-100 Mini-Laser Streaming projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I think this is a great product. What I especially liked was the simplicity of getting it from the box, hooked up and running.
When offered an opportunity to test an Epson Projector, I admit I wasn’t sure what to think about the quality of a projector over a flatscreen television. Growing up, a projector was something only used in movie theaters or the classroom, two completely different sides of the quality spectrum for...
I was surprise that it is seriously bright that you could watch it even with lights on. Picture definitions is real good doesn’t look like its only 1280*800. I believe in term of picture quality it beat its competitors at the same price range.Decent sound and ability to connect bluetooth speaker.
