Epson E-TORL Projector Lamp for 6000/7000/8000/9000 Series Projectors

I have been very happy with the new lamp. This is a high quality lamp. When I was looking for a replacement lamp, I came across much cheaper options. After reading the reviews, I decided to go with a higher quality lamp. The color is bright and sharp again on my Epson projector. Happy customer.

Big improvement, didn't realize how much the old bulb deteriorated until this replacement.

I just installed the fourth bulb in my 8700UB projector. The first bulb got about 1100 hours before burning out, the second about 1000 hours, and the third 614. This is nowhere close to the 4000 hour lifespan that Epson advertises.

I purchased this lamp is a replacement for the one in the Epson projector TV in my media room. Ordering was easy and the lamp arrived on the date promised. My projector is mounted in the ceiling so I enlisted the help of a tall friend to help with the installation of the new lamp.

In my last projector I low balled on a after market bulb. It generated so much heat the thermal protection would shut down in 10 minute. This time I went the the OEM bulb and it's like having a new projector again. Lesson learned.

There are a bunch of knockoffs on the market. This is the real thing from Epsom, giving you the performance you paid for when you bought this projector.

Great lamp and it came two days earlier than expected!

I bought this OEM lamp in Dec 2016 to replace the original lamp. Unfortunately, it has lasted less than 400 hours. The original lamp lasted about 2000 hrs. As others have noted, it is easy to install, but OEM lamps are expensive - and I expected it to last thousands of hours.
