Don't sell this "cheap" guitar short. It's really not a bad little instrument. The action is great, there's no fret buzz anywhere, and the neck feels terrific. The intonation is spot-on, and the pickups sound good. The tonal range is quite respectable. And the sunburst finish is flawless.
Pros, Fun To Play, Good Feel, Good Tone
Cons, Still looking. Haven't found any.
The AFD Les Paul also comes as part of Epiphone's excellent AFD Performance Pack, but here we're focussing on the guitar itself, which is aimed at guitarists taking their first steps in rock.
For the money you get total indviduality- its not a copy, its a gibson (in a way). Its even different to a Les Paul. Theres no frills. You dont need them. This is Solid, durable, enjoyable, playable and well concieved guitar.
I'm a beginning player. The guitar feels and plays great, and looks like a million bucks. The amp is more powerful than I expected and delivers awesome tone.
All in all this is a good beginning guitar but it does have lots of limitations. Perfect for me when I started and I'd recommend it to other first-time electric guitar owners as well. Really great for the money.
This is a fantastic starter guitar! And I admit, it's the one that I pick up most of the time if I just want to knock a few ideas around. For a minimal investment you can have a guitar that will be with you for a long time. This is a stripped down model with very little that can go wrong...
This guitar is a Les Paul I made some pickup changes bridge to pearly gates but out of the box it became obvious that the only major difference is price I own Gibson LPs and for some reason the Gibson guitars have became expensive. Epiphone produces a quality guitar They are as playable as Gibson.
