Electrolux Icon Designer 1.5 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Built-In Microwave - Convec

Got the stainless steel front - matches the in-wall oven. The pair looks great, but the microwave (Electrolux calls it a "speed oven") almost makes the in-wall oven redundant.

Based on my experience ? the quality of Electrolux microwave is basically a piece of junk. I bought mine 3 years ago (model EI30BM55HSC) and already had to fix the door handle twice. The door handle end cap made out of plastic and breaks easily (and no, we do not abuse our appliances).

I loved this microwave/convection UNTIL IT MELTED. Electrolux ran me around 6 appliance repairmen appointments between November 15, 2015 and April16, 2016, and then said neither their melted door, the replaced CRACKED DOOR or the microwave are NOT COVERED UNDER WARRENTY or by my expensive extended...

I bought this microwave just under 5 years ago. It broke within the first 6 months but was under warranty. It just recently broke again. The microwave no longer heats up. I was told it is at least a $500 repair and I may be better off buying a new microwave.

Purchased this microwave. It went in my new home broke after 1 1/2 years of use (reheating and popcorn) . Never used the other features and will not. I purchased product long before my home was completed and warranty as run out.

Purchased for new home construction. I had to purchase 6 months before I moved into my house. Electrolux uses the purchase date for warranty issues. Turntable stopped working after 3 years, now after 3.5 years the heating element is broken.

I purchased a Electrolux counter top flat top range, wall oven, wall microwave/convection oven, and fridge all five years ago. The flat top has had service 5 times, the oven once, the microwave twice and the fridge once and all of them falling apart.

Purchased this two years ago. The trim around the microwave is splitting and disintegrating, yet Electrolux can't locate the trim kit replacement part, the part # is not in their system. Not available elsewhere online.

These models have a design flaw that leads to the interior chamber getting sparks and burns on the walls. The center motor shaft has plastic parts that melt within a few months (Because this is also a convection oven, the turntable is made of some composite, instead of the glass plate usually...
