I've been a worship leader for 11 years now and I just bought the ELX115's for my church. The first thing I noticed while doing a sound check was the clarity of these speakers. How you could really hear every note of the keys, and every string of the guitar.
These are extremely lightweight. I'm sure in the near future we'll start seeing speaker cabinets made of carbon fiber, but for now, plywood is my favorite, over plastics or MDF. despite the wrong description this is the passive version of the LiveX 115P. I went with these after a bad experience with some other powered equipment that had to go in for service. If just the speaker or amp goes out in powered speakers the whole setup is down..
