Denon's Heos 5 wireless multi-room speaker is a solid entry into an increasingly crowded field, but it suffers from occasional distortion with extreme low-end.
Clear sound quality. Heos app supports many popular music services. Works with both iOS and Android.
Distorts on tracks with very deep bass. Can be finicky to use in areas with lots of Wi-Fi congestion. Clunky 3.5mm aux input.
With app inconsistencies, a lack of Mac compatibility, and audio performance that fails to rise above the crowd, Denon’s Heos multi-room speaker system was at best underwhelming, and at worst, downright annoying.
This product works well but having bought a Sonos system as well for another home, this product does not integrate well with other devices Including Denon receivers! I'm hoping they update the software soon to allow for airplay integration as my Denon Receiver has...
Integration with other Denon devices and wireless setup is not as good and easy as it needs to be. Sonos is much better.
Easy set up EXCEPT that it does not work with the Denon receiver I purchased. I guess I am too naïve to realize that even though the receiver was Bluetooth enabled that it is only "Receiving" files from devices not sending sound out to wireless speakers.
