NEC's first curved-screen monitor, the MultiSync EX341R-BK, is a well-equipped 34-inch display that delivers a highly detailed picture, with good grayscale and viewing-angle performance.

Expensive., Slightly skewed colors., Lacks advanced color controls., Speakers are underpowered.
The Dell Ultrasharp U3417W does a decent job for a mixed usage. Its high resolution and large size make it a great choice for multitasking, and its high brightness and large viewing angles mean it will fit most environments without issue.

Non-uniform blacks can be quite distracting, Low contrast ratio
“Dell’s newest 34-incher has solid color, but weak contrast makes its picture forgettable.”
The Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved Monitor is specifically designed for multitaskers who can benefit from getting two monitor's worth of real estate in one sleek panel. The U3417W looks great while providing a comprehensive workspace for the most discerning of users.

The Dell UltraSharp U3417W is an excellent monitor if you are looking for colour fidelity in a uwqhd-monitor. As we have come to expect, the construction of the monitor is solid and it has excellent connectivity. The test results are, especially in terms of the colour quality, very good.
Monitor Dell UltraSharp U3417W cost is $ 1,200 and it seems to us that it is fully justified. The product was created for those who need a large diagonal, who need just that aspect ratio, who wants to get the most bright and vivid image.
Ultra-wide monitors are probably not for everyone, especially those of you who prefer having one window open at full size. If you’re buying an ultra-wide and not using the space efficiently, you should rethink your purchase.
Have been searching for a curved wide screen monitor for my main PC at home and have always loved the Dell ultrasharp line. Well this does not disappoint. How ever i did have to upgrade the graphics card to utilize the HDMI and display ports. That was not so bad as the current card was 4 years old.
I spent a long time trying to decide what I wanted in a monitor. I was replacing an HP ZR24w, which is 16:10 aspect (1920x1200) that I had for some time and really liked. Eventually I narrowed it down to either a 27" 1440p or a 34" ultrawide, as the consensus seemed to be that 27" was a little too...
For me, the curve is perfect. I replaced a 4k monitor I had been using that wasn't really that great in practical terms - for work. This thing provides a great layout for work and it's rad for gaming. The only thing that would make the monitor better is if it had a higher pixel density ...
I love the widescreen and I no longer use multiple monitors. Lots of light bleed on the corners. The light bleed looks bad when displaying a black image. In practice I don't notice any problems. the included USB cable included didn't work, I had to use my own.
If you are like me who has been using 4K monitor for a while, then you probably cannot get back to 2k resolution. The build quality for this monitor is pretty good. However, the noticeable pixels really bothered me when I write my code or browse the internet. I guess this is a personal preference.
Arrived safely and in good time. Works without issue on my Asus ROG Strix laptop. Plug and play. Slight backlight bleed on corners which is normal I believe. Love the curve.
This monitor replaced a pair of old 24" widescreens. In switching, I'm using a lot less space on my desk, but I got a good deal more screen real estate. I do a lot of Photoshop work, and it is really nice to finally have the entire workspace on a single screen.
There are many excellent reviews of this and other similar curved monitors so I’m not here to add my two cents. But to those who are on the fence about getting a curved monitor, especially with the extra premium, this for you. I’ve had this two months so I am very used to working with it.
This widescreen curved monitor is awesome for gaming, work, or movie watching and probably has the best value when you can get it on sale. I got it at just under $600, which seems to be the price it hovers around for a while.
I'm not a gamer but I had one of these at work and really enjoy the "real estate" on one screen vs side by side monitors. This is not a cheap monitor but for me it was inexpensive enough and not a compromise which side by side monitors are.
