Dell U2414H 23.8" Widescreen LED Backlit IPS Ultra Sharp Monitor

Dell's UltraSharp monitors have spent many a month on the PC Pro A-List, and at first glance the latest 24in model, the UltraSharp U2414H, looks like a strong contender for the budget monitor top spot.

I had some issues with getting the USB ports to work. But I'm 90% certain that's on my end. So I can't count it against the monitor.

  I'm kind of shocked at how much better a decent IPS looks than other options. Even my cell phone looks sort of yellow after I stare at this thing too long. The build quality is excellent. The included stand is great and very useful. No dead pixels.

  ETA: 9/8/16 After more than a year with this monitor I ran into some issues. The plastic of the bezel seems to have separated at several points. This allowed a small insect (an ant or fruit fly) to work its way into the monitor where it promptly died.

After stepping down toe 13" MB Pro it became apparent I needed a larger monitor for photo editing. After agonizing for weeks, reading reviews, asking advice, I finally settled on the Dell U2414H 23.8".

This is a good monitor but is being phased out for the new version that is already out and has a wireless phone charger unit in the stand for phones that support this type of charging.

Excellent design, quality. Picture beautiful, great deal of connection options. Deserving of 5 stars except -- when connected with HDMI or DisplayPort, monitor sometimes goes off for a second or two. Strange issue, did lot of research on this, and found other people have similar issues.

Great monitor! I got the older version at work and when our home monitor needed to be replaced I did not hesitate to try this one. It lived up to all my expectations! It has a great picture, is easy to use and is a great size! Perfect for what we needed.
