The Dell UltraSharp U2412M is a feature-rich 24-inch monitor offering beautiful color reproduction and great off-angle viewing but its dark grayscale performance falls a bit short.

Very good color quality. Loaded with features. Affordably priced. Energy Efficient.

No HDMI port. Lacks auto-pivot support. Small text could be cleaner.
With thoughtful design, great performance, and plenty of OSD features, the Dell UltraSharp U2412 fills its value quotient to the brim.

The Dell UltraSharp U2412m has great performance with excellent ergonomic support and a robust and easy-to-navigate OSD with tons of options for customization. It also has five USB ports, and it's currently available for about $350.

HDMI is missing from the connection options, and performance-wise, it's not quite there compared with high-end, pro-grade IPS panels, especially when it comes to viewing angles.
Dell’s new 24-inch U2412M comes with a smaller portfolio of input connectors and multimedia options compared to the more expensive Dell U2410 . First of all Dell has removed the HDMI option. That might prove to be a problem if you are planning on connecting external players or gaming consoles.

IPS panel & picture quality, Fairly good out-of-box settings, Ergonomic adjustability, 16:10 format panel, Price, No serious clouding, Power consumption

Black depth not on par with VA panels, Dirty screen look, Some overdrive trailing, Black gets lighter from wide angles, No HDMI
The Dell UltraSharp U2412M is a monitor that is a very vabluable acquisition once you decide to make it.
The U2412M is one of a dying breed. With most PC monitors adopting the 16:9 aspect ratio and Full HD resolution, this Dell’s 24in IPS panel perseveres with the old- school 16:10 ratio to give an extra 120 pixels of vertical resolution.
Dell expands the U series monitors with the new U2412M. We find out what exactly it has to offer.
Dell hits the spot with an old-school 1,920 x 1,200 display that delivers superb image quality, great build and oodles of features
The Dell UltraSharp U2412M, as it turns out is a brilliant monitor. Priced at Rs. 23,000 in India, the U2412M is a tad pricier than some IPS panels out there. There are a few things, however that make this display stand out - excellent performance in both detail and colours - play a major part.
The Dell UltraSharp U2412 delivers very good value for money and will appeal to anyone who needs to spend a lot of time in front of their monitor. It's not a multimedia display, but its excellent display quality and ergonomics make it great for design, long-term office use or gaming.
We're seeing an increasing number of IPS panels, as the price of this high-end LCD technology seems to be falling into consumer territory. Unlike last month's Hazro HZ27WC , Dell's U2412M is aimed at a business market, which might excuse the fact that it's twice the price of a budget 24in monitor.
I've snapped one for 191$ shipped (including tax) straight from Dell (with extermetech promo code) and it will complement my old but quality

somewhat bluish, 6500k is not equal to that my other LED and CFL lit monitors
Photography is a main hobby of mine and I had gotten to the point where I wanted to calibrate my old Dell monitor in preparation to printing some of my images. The problem was that the old monitor could not come up to the brightness that my Spyder4Elite was recommending.
Already own one of these monitor for over 3 years. Love it with more space than a standard FullHD monitor. Buy the new one for my parents, great on every point. Except one, the color. I didn't fin a way to have the color from the new one to look like the color of my first U2412M.

This is the biggest monitor I've ever had on one of my systems and I love it. Nice clear image - no blurring. Easy controls. Don't know if I'll bother with a second monitor.
I would recomment this monitor to others as I have no real complaints about it and it really high quality. Only thing is that its pricy and I waited till it was on sale for $300. I use it for gaming, work and internet browsing. Star wars the old republic looks fantastic on this monitor.

- Expensive monitor unless you get it on sale., - For the price you could get a 27 inch regular (non ips) monitor from samsung or lg. Although I doubt it would have picture like this.
This is a great monitor, HD, telescoping and 90 degree rotation. The coders like it for the 90 degree rotation and finance for the wide screen. I personally use two for lots of database and spreadsheet applications. The telescoping feature makes it great when my neck gets cramped.
Totally satisfied, and grateful to those who said not to worry (calibration, photography, etc.). Now I understand why this monitor has fans! Great color rendition, great value.
