The Dell P4317Q is a massive 43-inch Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) monitor that can display images from up to four different sources. It's loaded with video inputs and other goodies, including a USB hub, and a powerful set of speakers.
Delivers sharp 4K images. Displays HD images from up to four sources. Accurate colors. Packed with inputs. Powerful speakers.
Expensive. Large footprint. Tilt-only stand.
This monitor is my replacement for the 30" Dell I handed down to my colleague. I do computer drafting and this monitor allows me to have ample drawing room as well as room for the toolbars.
Great multi tasking monitor, excellent picture quality. For the price it would be better to have heigh adjustment. Ordered a standalone stand. that pivots.
My old Apple Cinema after 10 years of daily use, went out. I had it side by side with Dell monitor given to me by a friend. I really wanted a single large monitor but wasn't sure I wanted the extreme wide screen monitors.
In general, GREAT picture quality, and the ability to use with mutiple input sources is awesome. Between this monitor and virtual keyboard/mouse software (Synergy in my case) I got rid of my ugle KVM switch off my desk.
I had an opportunity to demo this monitor at my work, where I do GIS and CAD. In no time at all I had visitors from all floors wanting to see this thing. It has quickly become the standard around here with some 30+ monitors purchased on our floor alone.
Whether for editing large photo files full screen or splitting into four HD quadrants for the ultimate in multitasking, I can't praise this monitor enough.Other screen divisions are available, like the three section where I can research a topic in my browser top left, put my notes in a file bottom...
Literally the best monitor I've ever seen. Crystal clear picture and if you trade stocks or edit video I'd highly recommend it.
This is my second purchase of this monitor. This suffers from extreme image retention. Image retention appears after only a few minutes of use... and I'm talking about less than 5 minutes. This is absolutely not-passable as a $1000+ monitor. I am returning this and going with a 32inch 4k variant.
Fits my needs as a CPA perfectly. Replaced 4 20" monitors on a stand and freed up desk space. The ONLY negative and it is a minor one is that the mouse sometimes hits a "bump" going from one image to another---but this is really trivial. IF they were cheaper I'd buy one for everyone in the office.
I don't notice the flickering or ghosting issues others have noted, but the "shadow" on the edges I do notice. This is a property of all IPS monitors that happens when viewing at an angle, but on this monitor, it's more noticeable because of the size and the bezel.
