The Dell Inspiron 14 5000 Series notebook PC is an adequate computer but it’s expensive when you consider the $700 price tag. This notebook has enough muscle to get the job done, but things like poor Wi-Fi reception really don’t help matters.

+
Quiet, Long battery life, Heat dissipates well

-
Display needs more clarity and richer colors, Too heavy, Poor wireless card reception
For $799, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y40 sports a sharper 1920 x 1080 display, Intel Core-I7 CPU and an AMD Radeon R9 M270 graphics card. Rather own a Dell? Step up to the more-premium Inspiron 14 7000 (starting at $799), which is all-aluminum, lasts for more than 8 hours on a charge and offers an optional...

Dell launched their mid range series (The 3000 series and 5000 series) of laptops few months back. The people at Dell have given us a chance to try out one of their latest hardware – The Dell Inspiron 14 5000 Series. Out of the box and into the test lab it went.
Elegant and affordable are two words that describe Dell's Inspiron 14 5000 series. The brushed aluminum and black minimalist styling Dell has treated this laptop with give it an air of class you don't often see in a mid-range, all-purpose laptop.
I just set up my new laptop and so far so good. I am not a super techy person so not sure if it is a great product. I use this laptop as my home computer as well as for entertainment (Netflix etc.) What I can say is that it is very fast (much faster than my previous 9 year old Dell desktop.
I am a fan of the time-tested Inspiron design and 2-in-1 touch screen arrangement, but disappointed with the dull 1366 x 768 resolution, distracting fan noise, and long battery recharge time.
Bought this a week back and loved how fast this starts and shuts down. Almost as good as my mac which was a big reason why i bought my mac - the speed. Dell mostly matched it.But in few days, i saw three crashes already. The audio became wobbly, not as loud as it was on day 1.
Very happy so far with the laptop... windows 10 is challenging due to the Microsoft products that are pushed on you, but overall happy with the DELL Inspiron. Great for the money.
I have my new laptop for just 2 weeks. There are so many options and capabilities available. The PC is extremely quiet, you don't even hear it running. It works as fast as my smart phone. It starts up in seconds especially that it uses facial recognition to log you on.
Pro: good response on touch screen, quick load up times, good price for 2-1 computer Con: viewing angle in 2-1 mode is limited when looking from top down perspective, not full hd display
Purchased as a replacement for my aging laptop with an older i5 processor. This laptop on paper seemed great with the i7 processor, enough RAM, acceptable hard drive and priced within my budget. This laptop booted up pretty quickly and plenty fast for my needs.
I have over 1100 pictures on mine and the memory chip is only 1/5 used. easy to drag pictures across screen. stands firmle without moving on deck.
I7-8565U with 256gb pcle m.2 is a nice combination for quick application startup and multi tasking. This laptop is ideall for all kind of students and professionals who work on mid-scale applications. The only drawback i noticed is battery life.
I have only been using this product for a couple weeks but so far so good still have a lot to learn about the features but love the speed it has.
