DJI has a new model in the Mavic line-up, the Mavic Mini. Unlike the company’s other drones, the Mavic Mini doesn’t required FAA registration and is easy for anyone to fly. Check out our in-depth Mavic Mini review for more.

Drones are cool. They can fly, they are fun to fly and they can capture some solid images. But, I’ve always thought that they were way too inconvenient to set up, way too bulky to move around, with way too short of a flight time. Then I got to spend some time with the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom .

Pro model offers better image quality
This has so many more features than my 4 year old go to unit that one doesn't know where to begin. In flight it's very stable and noticeably quieter than my previous drone. The 4K video files are just superb as are the stills. I'm finding the various flight modes to work as they should.
You get what you pay for. This thing is awesome. Can literally fly itself if you want. Can't think of anything wrong with it to talk about.
Day one, I went to an open field and put it in beginners mode or tripod mode. In 10 minutes, I am flying like a pro. It has obstacle sensors to avoid any obstacles in it's way, just watch out for power lines as it won't detect them. The Zoom function is great for close up pictures and videos.
Great engineering. Dont know how they did it. Picture is not as good as the Pro but the zoom is fun and gives that cinematic telephoto look. Responds well. I flew it in a blizzard and the shots were smooth and gorgeous. its my first drone but Im really stunned.
As a current user of DJI (Phantom) the DJI Mavic was a breeze to pull out of the box and get in the air. The simplicity of the control panel was very refreshing. No more big box to pack around. The drone is much quieter than the Phantom. The zoom is going to be a great new feature.
My first drone was the Go-Pro which was OK, the second was the Mavic Air and now the Zoom. The Zoom has a longer fly time, is more stable and takes very good quality pictures. The Mavic 2 has a longer fly time and is very easy to control.
Worked great with just a few camera/video setting adjustments. Complete satisfaction!
