The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom is a versatile machine that's fun to fly, and it would make an excellent addition to any photographer or videographer's kit-bag. You'll find even more uses for it as you fly it : checking out the flashing (or shingles) on your roof or the windows or rain gutters on the upper...
Easy-to-use DJI Go 4 app, Configurable controller w/ display, Automated Quickshot modes are impressive, Omnidirectional obstacle-avoidance, 3-axis gimbal and camera w/ zoom is buttery smooth, 30 minute flight time
Pricey, especially when you add important options, 3rd-party hardware required to use with tablets
The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom sets itself apart from other drones thanks to an optical zoom lens. It's loaded with features, including obstacle avoidance, and is a fine choice for enthusiast pilots.
Smooth, sharp 4K video., 2x optical zoom lens., Excellent battery life., Compact, folding design., Obstacle detection system., High-resolution stitched image mode., Raw and HDR photos.
Could use more internal memory., Omits DCI aspect ratio., Pricey.
While drone rules in most countries will need you to register, the cost is typically in single digits and the process online, which seems more than fair when you gain access to the powerful feature set the Mavic 2 Zoom offers while remaining surprisingly portable.
4K Video, Great battery life, All-round sensors, Stable in high wind
60fps only at 2.7K, Dynamic range could be better
Drones are cool. They can fly, they are fun to fly and they can capture some solid images. But, I’ve always thought that they were way too inconvenient to set up, way too bulky to move around, with way too short of a flight time. Then I got to spend some time with the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom .
DJI adds optical zoom and a host of other new features to its premium folding drone; it’s simply the best drone money can buy
Optical zoom, All-around object sensing and avoidance, Hyperlapse and super resolution modes are impressive
Camera still only has a 2/3in sensor, Remote controller is fiddly to set up
Image quality-obsessed enthusiasts should go with the stellar Pro, but regular users will find this cheaper model almost as impressive
Good image performance, Excellent battery life, Safety features galore, Fast, agile and quiet in the air
Pro model offers better image quality
Lacks the video wow factor of the Pro model, but still a thoroughly excellent camera drone
Great image quality with unusual zoom, Long battery life, Fast, stable, quiet flight, Packed with safety features, Folding design
Mavic 2 Pro image quality is better
This has so many more features than my 4 year old go to unit that one doesn't know where to begin. In flight it's very stable and noticeably quieter than my previous drone. The 4K video files are just superb as are the stills. I'm finding the various flight modes to work as they should.
You get what you pay for. This thing is awesome. Can literally fly itself if you want. Can't think of anything wrong with it to talk about.
Upea laite, toimii todella hyvin. Helppo käyttöinen ja luotettava. Juuri sitä mitä lupailee.
Day one, I went to an open field and put it in beginners mode or tripod mode. In 10 minutes, I am flying like a pro. It has obstacle sensors to avoid any obstacles in it's way, just watch out for power lines as it won't detect them. The Zoom function is great for close up pictures and videos.
Great engineering. Dont know how they did it. Picture is not as good as the Pro but the zoom is fun and gives that cinematic telephoto look. Responds well. I flew it in a blizzard and the shots were smooth and gorgeous. its my first drone but Im really stunned.
As a current user of DJI (Phantom) the DJI Mavic was a breeze to pull out of the box and get in the air. The simplicity of the control panel was very refreshing. No more big box to pack around. The drone is much quieter than the Phantom. The zoom is going to be a great new feature.
My first drone was the Go-Pro which was OK, the second was the Mavic Air and now the Zoom. The Zoom has a longer fly time, is more stable and takes very good quality pictures. The Mavic 2 has a longer fly time and is very easy to control.
Worked great with just a few camera/video setting adjustments. Complete satisfaction!
Gd quality but too small. Bag wasn't designed 4 it
