My aunt purchased this for my family after we learned my husband has cancer and we cut out all sugar and went super low carb. Makes amazing keto frozen treats in about 8 minutes and stays frozen enough that I can freeze two batches back to back with just a quick rinse (if necessary for flavors).
It's noisy when running (thus a 1 star deduction), but so easy to use, and there are so many recipes on the web that one can never run out of options. HOWEVER, just be aware that you will be buying more and more ice cream storage containers, and you will have to buy another freezer just for ice...
This ice-cream maker is easy to use and works beautifully. What a treat to make our own gourmet ice creams at home-- though calorically dangerous! In spite of the extra preparation time and calories, I recommend the custard-style ice cream recipes that are in the user guide/ recipe book included...
Love this ice cream maker. Super easy to use, clean and we make ice cream at least once a week in it. Disclaimer I still think you have to freeze the ice cream before you can eat. It's just too soft out of the container but I don't mind waiting.
We bought this for the sole purpose of making 'KETO' ice cream. You have to store the 'cooling component' in the freezer for 24 hours before you make your ice cream, but when that time is up, you can make ice cream in a snap.
We have had one of these for almost a year. Now buying one as a gift. The recipe guide gives you a basic 4 ingredient vanilla ice cream base which most recipes start with. You mix the ingredients, refrigerate, then run them in the maker for 20 minutes. We use lactose free milk.
