I bought this primarily as a spur of the moment purchase to grind spices. However, the small size and heavy duty blades make this great for pulverizing any small quantity of dried goods. Including medications for sick animals who won't eat their pills unless you mix them up in their food.
Wanted a cheap coffee grinder, couldn't find one locally. Brewing my first pot with it now, some Columbian beans I got in anticipation of this grinder.
Nice cheap little grinder, does enough for a pot with one load. Stainless steel blade and area where the coffee goes.
If you want the freshness of whole bean coffee and are in the market for a grinder, this is good because it is small and inexpensive.
Compact, inexpensive, has a good safety feature.
Sometimes a lot of grounds end up below the blades.
Love it, it is fast, thorough, and not very loud. The best thing is that it mixes well while it grinds so you don't have a layer of big pieces left on top like many other grinders I have used. I don't have to keep stopping and shaking it.
I was looking for an appliance that would grind coffee beans and spices. This coffee grinder works well as titled "Coffee Grinder". Unfortunately in the instructions under "Important Safeguards" #11 it states grinding spices would dull the blade. I was so disappointed. I own many Cuisinart products.
This unit is small and to grid a 2lb bag requires labor and set up. This is a small unit and that is what you pay for.I kept it because it served its purpose, but not worth the price. I paid for the name brand.
i bought this because i had received some coffee bean samples in the mail and needed something to grind them up. a couple pushes on the button and it was done and ready to put in the coffee maker it did a good job and was quick. it fits in well with my other Cuisinart appliances.
I bought this because my bride and I upgraded to an espresso maker and needed to be able to finely grind our beans. My experience with this product is consistent with the great reviews and I have no problem getting a fine grind for our favorite coffee beverages.
I bought this grinder to replace one of another brand that was getting very long in the tooth, and though it still worked, had to be nursed along. First, the Good about the Cuisinart; It will grind a Small amount of coffee IF you hold down the button long enough.
My boyfriend has the same coffeemaker and I really liked it. The Mr. Coffee one I had worked fine but was noisier and seemed to take longer to grind the beans. Also, it is easier to remove all the grounds from the Cuisinart than from the Mr. Coffee grinders.
