I had one of the smaller grinders and it was always guess work getting the right amount and grind. Then you would make a mess putting the coffee in the reusable Keurig pods. This let's you put up to a 1/2 lb into the hopper but grind only the amount you need however fine or coarse you want it
I've only had to use this on two occasions. I grind a couples weeks coffee at a time. The machine performs fine, as expected. As others mentioned, static is an issue. I have experienced the static problem with my previous (different brand) machine.
I purchased this unit to replace a similar Braun grinder that gave up after about 8 years. After a month of use, I am pleased with its performance. The size of the grind is uniform (which is what you want in a burr grinder), and the amount it grinds at a given cup number setting is pretty consistent...
If you enjoy fresh-ground coffee each morning, the Cuisinart DBM-8 serves its purpose.
Static electricity, inconsistent grind
This is our second Cuisinart burr coffee grinder. The first one lasted over ten years. Like the versatility to change from fine to course ground coffee. I need the course for my French press. My husband likes medium grind for the percolator. Great price when you take advantage of any sales.
I have been using daily for a few weeks. Nice grinder. Pros: love the ease of selecting the grind and the number of coffee cups. Good mount of beans held in hopper. Also very easy to register product.
We have owned and used this Burr Mill EVERY DAY of the past 8 YEARS 2 MONTHS, and it is STILL WORKING! We have replaced the plastic container the grounds feed down into once (3 years ago) and other than that this Cuisinart DBM-8 Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill has been the BEST COFFEE GRINDER we...
After using the traditional small blade grinders for years and being unhappy with the grinding capabilities I found the SUPREME GRIND by Cuisinart . This burr coffee grinder is fantastic for grinding good roast coffee.
Holds 1/2 lb. of coffee, 18 settings for grinds, turns off automatically
Noisy - but no worse than the blade grinders and is faster by far.
I have had many different grinders over the years and must say I have never been completely satisfied. But, this grinder has me completely satisfied--actually more then just satisfied.Your beans will be ground to exactly the grind you need for the best coffee you have ever made.
As mentioned, this will be my 3rd but over 10 years or so that's fine, we know we drink very potent coffee and put this thing to test! As another reviewer wrote, if it bogs a lil just clean it out but still that probably won't happen for the first few years.
