Expensive but well designed . This is my is my second Cusinart skillet and my first one did not last more than three years but I’m giving it a lot another shot because I like the quality of the skillet and I’m hoping that my first Cusinart skillet was just a lemon.
I can fry foods quickly at a higher heat than most other electric skillets. I use less oil and achieve great results. The skillet heats evenly and the depth of the skillet makes it more versatile.
I bought this to replace an identical nearly 10 year old skillet, that was fantastic. The new one will not reach the set temperature, nor will it maintain whatever temperature it does reach. I have now swapped back to the controller from my old one, and now it works great.
This a really great addition to my kitchen appliances! It’s big enough to do a 4lb pot roast with veggies that turned out better than roasting in the oven.It has so many uses I look forward to trying other thingsIt’s very nice looking and would be easy to use for a buffet meal as wellI’m really...
This product is great for bacon eggs and pancakes on a weekend. It is also great for a slow cooked pot roast meal. It cleans up easily and is a great alternative to the full stove, oven option.
I had one of these for years and the non-stick wore off. The new one I got recently just doesn't seem up to the old quality. The non-stick is fine. The bottom is flat and smooth. The controller makes more noise and the unit heats more unevenly. I am still going to use it.
We love how heavy duty this fryer is. However, when it gets to temp, it turns off and stops cooking. You then have to turn it up to get it going again. Atleast my eggs dont burn! But weird it doesnt start back up quickly. It also is louder..
Italian sea food with saffron rice Large quantities of chicken and sauce Pasta dishes Oh, the list goes on and on
The thermostat doesn’t work properly. It doesn’t get the pan up to the correct temperature. I was cooking bacon and it didn’t brown. Thankfully I had my old one that was worn out. As soon as I plugged it in the temperature went to 350 and finished the cooking.
Does not warp (I've only had it for 10 uses so far). I do notice when it's preheated and I add oil it has made two or three pop noises after a couple of minutes. I don't add water so I'm not sure why that happens... Maybe it's my grandma's spirit haunting me for not using manteca.
