I bought this scope for a junior on the rifle team I coach, the cleraty is just as good as my Kowa, at half the price. It is a rugged, dependable and easy to use optic. The team has three of them on the line and they get beat up a lot and keep on doing there job, I would recommend this scope to...
This is a great buy for the large 80mm objective lens. Optics are good, but the tripod mount is soft enough to introduce some flex which limits performance. In comparing to a Celestron Regal M2 65mm, I found the focus of the 80mm to be less precise without the pop that brings up the texture of a...
I bought this scope for birding. It's bright and clear. It can't match the high-end scopes at the upper end of its zoom range, but the image is still quite good. It's rather long, but is surprisingly light for its size. Both the coarse and fine focus knobs turn smoothly.
I am pleased over all with the optics. I can not use it with my glasses on despite what they say about long eye relief. But I see ok without the glasses so it is OK. My primary use is for photography so it is fine. I am impressed with the bulk and heft of the scope.
A great scope. images are sharp and clear, no CA (a bit, only in white objects if you look for), no another distortion. I use it with a few different eyepieces and a binoviewer. it's work great.
I have been in business for just over a year as a professional birding guide for IndiGo Birding Nature Tours. I have also been president of our local Audubon chapter. Celestron provides me with equipment for my clients to use, and I am often asked what optics I recommend.
Cracking scope. Beautifully sharp optics. Good quality zoom eyepiece. The ability to use my astronomical eyepieces if I want as it's also very useable as an occassional casual astro scope. Clever stay-on case that sits nicely over your shoulder.
Very impressed. Stays in focus throughout the zoom in process. Very clear even at high magnification. No issues.
nice sharp image, scope stays in bag with zippered ports to mount to tripod
Excellent value for money - puts some other more expensive scopes to shame!
