Great mount. Great scope. Together, what a pain. whithout added weight youre on the ground 50% of the time observing if you are not realigning because it crashed into the tripod leg. A mount extension beautifully solves every problem except nobody makes one.

I have owned 4 scopes before this one. 4 much larger reflectors. I have to say, this scope outperforms all of them! After initial purchase I did have problems getting the mount to align (im in Southern hemisphere), and thought it was owing to the mount being new and a bug in the handcontroller...

Great image quality. Outstanding sharpness across entire image. Field flatness is very good. My previous scope was a Meade LX90 (also an 8-inch SCT) and the C8 Edge HD is noticeably better quality.

I like the sturdiness of the mount and the tripod. The counterweight has been claimed to be insufficient, but for my Newtonian telescope with a DSLR camera, an eyepiece projection, finder scope and the eyepiece attached to it was, on the contrary, more than enough.

Great scope! I had anticipated a little blue coloring on the achromat even at f 8 but there was nothing I could detect. Also I suspected the included 20 mm Plossl would not be the best but it's very good indeed.

Excellent optic in small package...still doing many experiments withEdgeHD CG-5 8. At first observation Of Messier 41 (also known as M41 ) is an open cluster in the constellation Canis Major. I would say it is pretty sharp to the edge and living up to the expectation.

This is my first go to mountIt is sturdy and easy to get the hang of. I bought this as a combo with the CR6 refractor. I cant recommend purchasing this combo unless you buy an extension of 6 to 8 inches for the scope to be high enough to comfortably view and for the scope to not crash into the...

I had a learning curve on the "goto" mount to hurdle. I don't find the menus and such to be as intuitive as I was expecting. Now that I have a better understanding of what the prompts are really saying, and I am intentionally avoiding certain of the choices, I am getting along much better.

Awesome Equatorial mount. I used it to record the entire Great American Total Solar Eclipse August 21st, 2017, from start to finish. Nice construction, very sturdy. Very manageable.
