Celestron 8x42 Ultima Binoculars

I love it. 8x42 gives a large viewing angle, the lens is sharp and item is well built.

I got my celestron,s at the sportsman show in Eugene Oregon 2003

I couldn't get a truly sharp image with these, I have several other pairs of binoculars so I know what I am looking for. The view through them also lacked contrast. The focusing knob is quite loose and so the focus tends to slip. The tripod mount cover is not a good fit.

Took the binoculars on a safari in March. Although quite heavy especially with weight limitation on the safari, it worked really well.

Perfect and perfect for hiking. After returning a sub-par recognized binocular brand to a sports store, I thought I see if the reviews were right on these. Just weighty enough, they feel like binos 2x the price and the view is sharp with a nice smooth action when adjusting the focus.

Good image quality for the price. Excellent starter binocular for birding. Very similar to a higher priced binocular that I own.

For a beginner birder, these binoculars are amazing. Easy to adjust and handle, my birding experience has been taken to the next level! My only complaint is that the right neck strap has come undone, so I tied it on and hope it won't undo, but since they are an inexpensive pair then perhaps that is...
